I am, not saying we should or shouldn't, but I am not sure what happens if we choose not to sign him. I know he re-enters the draft next year, but what happens to our pick? DO we get another one and if so, at what slot will we recieve it? I am thinking that maybe having ricky this year and maybe next year and then having the #4 and maybe a mid 20 pick won't be so bad.

The Fins are not going to let Brown go back into the draft. RW is NOT, repeat NOT very reliable and if you depend on him, you will be setting yourself up for a letdown. Saban knows and understands this. I'd even bet that Wanny would not rely on RW either....Also keep in mind that RW will be lost to us for the first 4 games...

We happen to be in a position where our RBs are a strength, (with RW and assuming he doesn't quit on us again during this season)...but remember how quickly that can change...last year we lost RW in the preseason, then Minor, then Morris, then Gordon in about a 2 week span...

We lose the pick if we don't sign him...We don't get a compensatory pick for letting a guy go back into the draft...

I still think this deal gets done on Tuesday and that we see RB in the second preseason game (though obviously not much of him).

This thread is making me sick...Why would there be a thread not to sign the future of this franchise. R. Brown can be a running back as well as line up as a receiver, he can also block..We got a 3 in 1 combo...He will sign soon.

123...Man, it must be a slow day if that is the best you can come up with.

has braylon edwards and cedric benson signed yet???

Ridiculous, threads like this is what makes reading this board difficult.
