well i'll kill myself, but i'm sure some people will be happy.....
i think carr would do very well under our line and wr's as well. carr has been running 4 his life since he's been at houston, plus if and when he DOES have the time to throw ,he throws rather well{he has very good arm strengh and accurracy}I think our new OC can do wonders for him, wwhat ya think????:D :dolphins:

your barking up the wrong tree on this one. i dont think carr would be a good starting QB in miami. from the games i've seen he hasnt been impressive at all. plus he's been hit so many times he may have "patrick ramsey syndrome" (made that up, but patrick ramsey feels pressure when there is no pressure forcing him to make bad decisions and mistakes) i'd rather draft a QB, and i dont really care for any of the first round prospects other than young and leinart, so thats saying something......

The first thing Kubiak did after accepting was reveal his faith in Carr. He thinks he can revive his career because Carr has all the tools. The Texans will take Bush. Kubiak will find a way to utlize Bush and Davis effectively. He almost had two 1000 yd backs in Denver with Bell and Anderson, I'm sure he'll know what to do with his new backfield.

Yeah, he needs a new O-line

You obviously haven't seen Carr very much then. He certainly has not been part of the problem in Houston. :shakeno:

blame falls first on the coaches and second on the QB. sorry, but he deserves all the criticism i've given him

don't be surprised if the texans draft young trade carr to us for our 16th pick, and maybe madison. If texans pick young just wait and see when we pick at 16th tagliabue will say{with the 16th pick miami trades to houston for david carr}.... just a srange feeling.

zero chance of that happening. houston would have a cap hit of 8 mil for trading carr plus a CB that is in the final year of his contract and is getting up in age and declining skills. Bush is going number 1 to houston

i agree. when your best offensive lineman is todd wade that you waaaayyyy overpaid for, you are in trouble. although the houston fans want young because he is a local guy, the team that selects leinert will be like looking for a QB that actually has some arm strength within 3 years

No disrespect to Carr, who I believe is a capable QB despite his problems at Texas, but this is a purely financial decision not made by Kubiak. This is another of the decisions made by the bean counter C. Casserly...But I can't blame them. If they've already paid $22 mil to Carr and gotten nothing in return, you minimize your losses by not starting over with a rook QB. Young, in all likelyhood will cost more than Carr has. I'm sure the impending issues with the CBA also played into this.

At any rate, I'm not sure that Saban would have wanted to pay the multiple picks that would have cost us along with the salary. Carr would have been a great addition to this offense, but alas...always the bridesmaid and not usually the bride...

This news, plus the detroit situation is the best news I have heard.
Which Detroit Situation? The hiring of Martz?

thats what a good smart GM would do.

Honestly with all the hype around Reggie Bush, Houston doesn't really have an option here.

If they pick Reggie and he doesn't perform up to expectations, nobody will second guess them for the pick.
If they pass on Reggie and he turns out to be an all-pro the Texans would be chastized for it

You realize that this news has zero meaning other than they don't plan to cut Carr. If they plan to keep him they would have to pay him the bonus to extend him. If they plan to trade him they would have to pay him the bonus and extend him. Since paying him the bonus was a prerequisite of either option, this news doesn't make either option more likely.

That takes care of several rumors then...........

Ricky + #1 pick for Carr
Ricky + #3 pick for Carr
Ricky straight up for Carr
#1 pick for Carr

Put those rumors to rest.

There is a good possibility now that Reggie Bush will be playing in our division.

The Texans and the Jets could very possibly trade picks. Jets get Bush and Texans get D'Brick. Both teams getting the players they really need.

Houston just signed Davis to a big contract and hes been pretty productive over there. They need a dominate OL to protect Carr.

As for the Jets, one of the biggest reasons they have been on the downslide is because of Curtis Martin getting older. He isnt what he used to be and if the Jets want to breathe new life into their team they need someone who can step in for Martin, and thats Reggie Bush. He will also take some pressure off Mr. Glass.

1. Jets- Reggie Bush
2. Saints- Matt Leinart
3. Titans- Vince Young
4. Texans- Dbrickashaw Ferguson
