Merged:The New Yatil Green???/ If Poole tore his ACL...??

Poole is young and he'll be back next year. This is a setback but not as huge as some of us are making it out to be. I think Danials will fit into the system, that he knows very well, and play very well for us. Howard will start opposite Sam and in Nicks scheme he will flourish this season. Maybe we will pick up a vet off the waiver wire to add some depth. T-Buck, at age 33, still could come in and help our team win. Our pass rush will be mucho better this year and we won't be very easy to run against so chill guys. Our D will be alot of fun to watch!

Poole might be coming back to play safety next season. Heal up put on a couple pounds...our new FS?

It doesnt matter if somebody tore there knee in college, highschool or daycare. You cant compare the two. Yatil was a constant let down. Just when we though we were finally going to see what he could do he would go down again. Poole has a season ending injury and the first thing the "fans" do is compare him to a flunky. Thats real nice. Lets not support our player and extend our prayers for a quick recovery but instead lets end his career with speculation.

I think Yatil Green is back guys. I say Will Poole will just end up like him. A good prospect and injury problems, the injury Poole has is hard to recover with especially for Corners And Wide Recievers. i'ts too bad cuz Poole has potential thas y he slipped so far cuz of injuries and now he has a big one.

:roflmao: This was a joke righ? Comparing someone who played their whole rookie year and who had an injury that many NFL players have had, to a guy that never got on the field for us because of re-ocurring injuries. Could Poole go on to re-injur his ACL? Sure. But plenty of players have overcome the injury and had great careers. There is no reason to expect Poole can't do that as well.

:shakeno: talk about a reach of a comparison. yatil was a reach for a 1st, poole was a steal in the 4th.

How can u compare Poole to Green?

Yatil had a toothpick frame which made him an injury waiting to happen!

In college Poole was known as a ballhawk that could hit (aka a playmaker)! So unless there is structural damage to his knee (torn cartilage) I dont see how an ACL tear could ruin the career of someone who wasnt even fast before the injury.

I think I understand what the guy is saying. Losing someone so promising so early to an ACL injury has been the Dolphins's albatross for a while now. Remember going into a new season full of promise and then losing Yatil Green, or Brent Smith, or Mark Dixon? After losing those guys, we just waited for the other shoe to drop, and it almost certainly did.

Neither Yatil or Brent was ever as promising as Will Poole (IMHO). Mark Dixon was already beat up when he joined us. But we got good play out of Dixon for 2 years.

Poole also played, and played well his rookie year where as Yatil never even played.

Also it's not like Poole has a history on knee injuries like Yatil. His season is over, but his career is not.

Poole had his injury in the second season where as Yatil never played til his third year. Also I don't care what position you play, an ACL tear is an ACL tear and does not make it easier on one position as compared to another.

Dom,

With all due respect, can it.

Stop with the negativism and dire predictions.

You sound like a clown.

Poole slipped because he was ill and ran a 4.79 40.

Let's wait until it's two ACL tears in two years before making that comparison shall we ? Plenty of players have had an ACL tear in this league besides Yatil Green. Didn't McGahee tear all 3 ligaments ? How'd he do last season ?
