Merged: Two players to speak against Incognito?

We'll drop it, but I grabbed some stuff from a few websites that confirm what I said.

But you clearly didn't drop it. I don't know what this obsession you all have with me is, to argue so passionately to make me believe that bullying and extortion is the exact same thing, when it clearly isn't,..but I've been told to agree with the moderator and move on. That's what I'm going to do.

Is that really how you interpreted this conversation, Narcissisma?

I'm sorry you feel obsessed upon but from where I'm standing, you're telling me the sky is green and the water is orange. Feel free to have the last word. I'm done talking with you.

So the organization let a bully run wild, extort his teammates, and deride them with racial slander. What's wrong with that?

Can't be from Philbin's oversight? He's a "good man."

Can't be from Ireland, his destiny was to go from Bears ball boy to legendary G.M.

Can't be Dawn Aponte's omission, she's governed on the premise that the real truth is too fearful for us to handle.

Can't be from Ross, he put full faith in high character people to run his team.

It's got to be Martin's fault. Or fringe roster guys trying to hold on to their tenuous NFL careers and salaries.

When you go on, and on and on...and then paste wiki definitions, yes. Sorry to disappoint you, but we all have dictionaries. It's the thought that counts, though. Have a nice day.

The Martin - Wells interview went for 7 hours. To take that long, it's not a couple of isolated comments/events. It is likely that Martin has presented a lot of evidence to support the comments of harassment. Here is a really intelligent guy and he's had time to prepare with a top attorney. The belief on this website that Martin's just a wimp and that Incognito's a choir boy with a heart of gold (and great tattoos) who showed a little tough love to help his teammate, will be exposed as a sham. I expect that Martin has a stack of solid evidence that he is a real victim of harassment and don't be surprised if it is physical as well as verbal.

This is my analysis as well. He gave a significant amount of evidence to the investigators and it most likely includes evidence against both Incognito and other Dolphins players. There is no way that this turns out well for the Dolphins.

Everyone wants to fire Ireland and blame Ritchie, but NOBODY is talking about that

ex-marine OL Coach

who in all likelihood

is 100% behind this ENTIRE mess

We have probably close to the worse oline in football, how is this guy still employed?

Exactly. I started a similar post in another thread last night, but decided to cancel it because I was overboard negative toward posters on this board in general. Not that they didn't deserve it, and the post was brutally accurate, but I didn't want to hang around and respond.

Somehow the consensus on this forum was that Martin's presentation should last perhaps 30 seconds: "I was a wimp. I made it all up. I'm sorry. I surrender to any punishment."

When it required 7 hours, that hinted strongly toward the depth and the magnitude. If Dolphin players aren't afraid and the Wells investigation is properly thorough, it will be considerably more than 2 players speaking out against Incognito.

I'm disappointed Awsi hasn't posted in this thread. To use his phrase, it didn't exactly take strenuous handicapping to see that more people would come out of the woodwork to accuse Incognito of abuse behavior. Turns out that people who abuse people... tend to abuse a lot of people, rather than just one. Not exactly a shock. The parable about the frog and scorpion comes to mind. "It's my nature."

 And speak of the devil. Right as I post it. My timing is impeccable as always. :bobdole:

Over/under? Its a great prop because I'm pretty sure all names speaking out will be aired publicly, the number speaking out against Incognito could be anywhere from 0-30ish. I would take the under at 6, maybe even as low as 4.

Also, it's very telling that Martin felt confident enough to appear in public one day later, and sporting a smile. It likely means that he was very satisfied with the way his testimony was received, and where the process is headed.

I really didnt think bout that until u just said it. good point.
I think no matter what Martin has perceived that he has been mistreated and all this other agenda stuff makes no sense.

Maybe but I'm not so sure we'll get the names unless we get to a point where Incognito sues the league.

Yea Im pretty sure InCognito really doesnt have a case against the league

Maybe but I'm not so sure we'll get the names unless we get to a point where Incognito sues the league.

I am having a tough time imagining a scenario where Incognito is the one who sues Martin, the Dolphins, or the NFL. It kind of reminds me of the news stories you hear every now and then about a bizarre lawsuit brought where a drunk driver crosses the white line, crashes into an oncoming car, and then sues the victims of the crash on the theory that they should not have been driving on the road at that point in time.

Incognito has a well documented history of over the line behavior. All of that would come out in the trial. It's a lawsuit that he can't possibly win and the bad publicity associated with it would make him toxic with regards to further employment in the NFL. I think his best course of action is to stay out of the limelight until this whole thing is finished and then to see if he can resume his career.

If incognito can prove he was unlawfully disscharged then he does have a case. It might noit be popular but Ritchie does have legal options. Now having the option to do it, and getting a judge to allow it are 2 different things. If people truely are innocent untill proven guilty then no matter the accusation Ritchie has a rigfht to defend himself.
