Some scenarios to think about...

First off let me say, I will never, nor do I condone rooting against the Fins for the sheer purpose of draft positioning.

That said, If Buffalo and the Jets win out, which means would be 8-8, we would actually select ahead of both of them. Personally, I want to go 10-6 so I can have an ounce of dignity left.

Something else to think about...

16. (t)New Orleans 7-7 .496
17. (t)Tampa Bay 7-7 .496
18. Minnesota 8-6 .442
19. Cincinnati 8-6 .451
20. New England (from Baltimore) 8-6 .455
21. Seattle 8-6 .460
22. Green Bay 8-6 .491

If we finish tied with any of those teams, we would pick behind them automatically based on strength of schedule.

The Bottom Line is....Root for Miami and let the chips fall.

Damn, why does the NFC have to suck so much this year? We're 8-6 and still have the 23rd pick.

NFC = where 5-5 teams still have a shot at home field advantage.

I am being sarcastic ofcourse.

Gallery will go in the top 5. I can see Eli Manning going to the Cardinals, and a lot will depend on whether Larry Fitzgerald can work his way around the "three years removed" rule.

This is the correct draft order for the 20 teams not in the playoffs as of now.

1 Arizona 3 11 0 .214 .526
2 San Diego 3 11 0 .214 .531
3 Atlanta 3 11 0 .214 .577
4 Detroit 4 10 0 .286 .500
5 Oakland 4 10 0 .286 .531
6 Cleveland 4 10 0 .286 .536
7 N.Y. Giants 4 10 0 .286 .556
8 Jacksonville 4 10 0 .286 .566
9 Pittsburgh 5 9 0 .357 .515
10 Washington 5 9 0 .357 .526
11 Houston 5 9 0 .357 .546
12 Chicago 6 8 0 .429 .464
13 San Francisco 6 8 0 .429 .480
14 N.Y. Jets 6 8 0 .429 .510
15 Buffalo 6 8 0 .429 .566
16 Tampa Bay 7 7 0 .500 .500
17 New Orleans 7 7 0 .500 .500
18 Baltimore* 8 6 0 .571 .474
19 Seattle 8 6 0 .571 .480
20 Miami 8 6 0 .571 .541

* - Baltimore traded it's 2004 first round pick to New England so the Ravens could move up to select Kyle Boller with the 19th pick in 2003.

So he can get fired? He knows he is gone if we aren't in playoffs, so I doubt he would give his successor a better draft pick......

Well I'll be damned if I can think of another explanation.

I'm just excited to have a first rounder again! Though no second rounder.

Other then RW our last first rd pick or should I say bust was Fletcher. What an awful pick. Thanks again Wanny.

I see three or more temas before us that may want a QB. Especially Arizona an 2. manning anyone? Will he play there or pull an elway?
