MERGED: Wade Smith Breaks Forearm

I dunno. Did ya read further down the article? :

I read it and that is good news. Finally they give Hadnot a look at center. Mckinney played very good at right guard his rookie year when he had to fill in for Todd Perry.

Think it depends on the degree, since they didn't use the word broken, it could be light a slight break, maybe no all the way though..just surface, we'll have to wait for more info.

Yeah you never know though, we should know more about the injury by tommorow.

I hate to say it but good i cant stand this f-ing guy and have no clue why he is still on our team. If you cant play you cant play moving him to other postions isnt going to help.

Starting right guard Rex Hadnot received some repetitions with the first-team offense during Monday morning's practice. McKinney took Hadnot's spot at right guard.
:D

That's one injury I'm semi-ok with. I'd like to see no one get injured, but at least it isn't a star of ours.

He should be back by week 6 for sure. Too bad hes hurt, 40 days until kickoff though.

The Ticket just said he'd miss "several weeks". Obviously, being right-handed will also delay his return to center...This really sucks because athletically, he is a pretty good OL, but has not found his niche...he was used at LT a couple of years ago out of necessity. Now we move him to C, out of necessity. I am convinced that McK in no longer the answer for us at center...perhaps at RG....Hadnot was a center in college. St. Clair was also a center in college ?? We just have to wait and see right now...too bad...

I think he meant a week of the season.

Isn't "fractured" just another word for "broken"? If so, I think he'll miss more than a week.

This guy, who I once had a lot of hope for over on the left side on the line, is really just taking up space on the practice field. He doesn't have the right demeanor, enough upper body strength or good enough quickness to be a starter at ANY position on the line. Forget about him. .

Actually his strength has always been his quickness. That's why he was drafted so high, quick feet. Nonetheless his physical strength has been his big downfall. How much he's progressed in that department I don't know.

Man that sucks now McKinney may start the season at center and of course he's the weak link.

kiss da' baby folks, we're stuck with "turnstile" mckinney at center........excuse me while i go kick my dog!!!
