But he can also play safety don't forget. He's versatile like that.

Ah.....i did not know that he can play S. Well now that i see it, i do think that he could start at FS for us this year.

McQuarters

In an earlier post it said that McQuarters was signed by the redskins

and know it says that he is coming in for a visit whats up with that

Lets cross our fins cause this guy is a special player. If we can end up with R.W. then losing surtain will seem like ancient history. He only had 2 picks last year but as somone mentioned above he can play safety. Also R.W. has returned a punt for a TD the past 2 seasons and has averaged over 10 yards per punt return also in the last 2. Kick returns are over 20 average but he didnt return but 2 kicks for chicago last year. Hes an all around threat, not much more you could ask from somone like Mcquarters.

R.W. won't be returning kicks.

What's this guys salary look like? I'm sure he isnt getting Surtain pay but he's probably not gunna settle for one of Saban's 1-year deals either.

What ESPN and Scouts Inc. have to say about R.W.

Comment:
McQuarters has very good speed and athleticism. Although he is not a real tall guy he is fairly physical and has good bulk and strength. He has the ability to turn and run with most receivers in the NFL but is more quick than he is fast. Has just adequate deep speed. He is at his best in the short area. Shows good short area burst and generally takes good angles to the ball. He shows natural ability to mirror receivers' double moves, especially in the short to intermediate zones. However, while he has good top-end speed and overall quickness he struggles to matchup in the vertical passing game. Seems to lose the receiver when he is forced to turn and run and he also struggles to find the ball over his shoulder in coverage. He is at a little bit of a disadvantage in red zone situations against taller receivers because he just simply can't matchup in a leaping situation. Overall, McQuarters is slightly overrated and no longer a viable option to start.

I think he would be a good pickup for depth purposes, but I hope he doesn't take away any PRs from Wes Welker.

I can see him starting for the Giants and maybe starting for the Skins in a year or two. IMO, i dont see him starting for us because i do believe that Poole will take over once he is healthy.

Sorry to break it to you dude, but Poole is likely out for the 2005 campaign, McQuarters would be a great pick-up, he was solid in Chicago and San Francisco. Saban better imprison him in Davie if he tries to leave without signing.
