Ok, in my thread I started about autographs, you said Johhny U. signed your something blaster or some chit and you made him your slave and so on, I was thrown off by that but didnt want to ask a question offend you. But now, I am totally thrown off, picked up and thrown off again by your comment there. What the heck is going on with you?
Ah just having a bit of fun. Does no one have fun on here??

I have some family from Miami and they are fin fans. Then once I saw Marino play, and I started collecting his football cards as a kid I fell in love with the team.

We have fun all the time. Just wanted to double check and make sure you weren't one of those pokemon type of people that need to be on medicine and if they aren't, if you say something they don't like, they go on a crazy man mission and start spazzing out everywhere and look for the person that said what they didn't like.

Having said that, I can laugh at your posts now that I know my life is safe after I hit submitt when replying to one of your threads
:)

I will be 27 this month and have been a Dolphins fan as long as I can remember. I have pictures of me whn I was a little boy with two monster trucks in front of me with Hulk Hogan and Big John Studd play figures standing in the back of the trucks. I was wearing my #13 hutch outfit helmet and all. My mom said I liked them before that. See said I started liking them because I liked the logo on the helmet. So I have been a fan for over 20 years.

Grew up in Orlando in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's. Had a choice, Dolphins or Bucs. Enough Said! Have been a fan ever since. I live in Tampa now and it's funny, there is a radio host over here on 620 that is of the opinion that when you move to an area, regardless of your past roots and such, you should immediately adopt your new home teams as YOUR FAVORITE TEAMS!! He's a moron and I love calling his show and getting two words out of my mouth about the Dolphins before he hangs up on me saying, "We'll talk NO DOLPHINS football on my show" LMAO. He wants NOTHING to do with south florida. He won't talk about the Marlins, Dolphins, or Hurricanes.

I was about age 8 when the series FLIPPER was on TV. Through the series and visiting aquariums in California (where I was born and grew-up), I developed a love for Dolphins.

At about age 9, I was introduced to football by my dad. I recall my parents have football parties and we were watching the 1967 Rose Bowl game in which Bob Griese was QB (and won Player of the Game honors). In school, I did a research paper on Bob Griese. YES - Bob Griese became an inspiration for me as a child.

When I heard the Miami Dolphins had drafted my childhood idol combined with my love for dolphins in general, I began cheering for the team that had a dolphin on their helmet.

Thats my story...

Wow... that's eeeerily similar to a friend of mine's story. See, when he was a kid, he developed a love and fascination for skidmarks. He loved checkin' out all the different shapes, sizes, patters, and colors he could create. It got to the point where he stopped using TP altogether, just to see what kind of art he could create in his tighty-whities.

Anyway, a few years later he got into watching football with his dad... his fascination with skidmarks still intact, but a secret nonetheless. His dad was a Steelers fan. My friend, however, did not become a Steelers fan. Although it was sac-relig in his house, he became a Cleveland fan... cuz he couldn't believe there was a football team that was actually named after his favorite pastime... the Browns.

:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

LOL!!! (J/K)

in 5th grade it was cool to have a favorite football team and i picked the dolphins because my neighbors at the bus stop liked them. and what 5th grader doesn't like a dolphin. no one in my family watched or watches football, so i remember watching these football games by myself having no idea what anything meant and the only dolphin i could name was dan marino. i remember for years trying to figure out what that '1st and 10' and '3rd and 3' meant. eventually, i just figured it out with the dolphins. growing up a dolphin fan in jersey stunk because all you heard about was the jets - but usually it was always just how bad they were.

its funny how every year you can care about the team more and more - even this god awful year i think about them more them ever.

now when i have kids, they will watch football and they will be dolphins fans, and ill be sure to explain to them what everything means. and ill tell them the stories about the perfect season and dan marino and how chris chambers was a superbowl MVP.

South Florida has always been a second home to me. I have many relatives that live there, and I've usually visited at least once if not twice a year since I was a baby. I became a Dolphins fan because of this and because my grandpa started following them too when he moved down there in the early '70's- he gave me an autographed poster of mark Duper when I was 7 years old, and that's when I first heard of the Dolphins, and started to become interested in the team. And of course, Dan Marino. His fiery competitiveness and cannon arm are what made me such a huge Marino fan as a kid. All those things combined to make me the rabid, nutcase Dolphin fan I am today.
