Merged: Wow I had a really different impression of Boston

you guy's are drunk.

I am sick and tired of all of these crazy I hope and I wish and I'm suprised comments when it comes to david boston. Have you guy's been watching football? This guy is a flat out stud. He was a stud in arizona, he was a stud in san diago and he's a stud now. He's only 26, 6'1 and 226 pounds of 4.3-4.4 man coming at you. The only question is his health. As long as he stay's healthy he will prove to be the best receiver on this team mark my words. :)

If BOSTON stays healthy, he will be starting for us before the end of the season!!!!

Boston is a show stopper

I'm kinda glad that a guy like Boston has his critics. That way he doesn't make his way into the gameplan of opposing defenses. He can sneak in at the slot position and keep that 15-30 yard zone completely open. There aren't many LBs that can hang with him, so with Chambers and Booker on the outsides, they will draw man to man, leaving a safety and then a man on Boston. Otherwise, if they choose to go two deep, then boston will get marked by a LB and then that will open up the lane for Brown/williams to get some good yardage. With this kind of talent on the field, throw McMichael in there, it gives Boston some serious neglect to capitalize on if he can stay Healthy...but i think before that, he needs to earn his QBs respect and favor. That way the balls will keep coming and we will keep moving the chains. That's the name of the game folks. Go PHINS!!

All the media hype combined w/ the legal trouble really made this guy seem like an a hole, but after watching the Insider interview I have to say I think I was wrong. He seems actually concerned about not making the team. Hopefully a sign of good things to come.

Say what you want about Boston but if anyone noticed throughout preseason he has been the only receiver on our roster that if the ball hit in the hands would definetly catch it. The other guys all had the dropsies.

Yes let's demote our only proven receiver who constantly demands a double team even though he has labored under the worst offensive gameplanning for the past two years, and replace him with someone who has not played a full season in three or four years, all because he has dropped a few balls during games that do not matter. :shakeno: Boston is more of a threat in the slot and needs to prove that he can consistently stay healthy before the team counts on him for anything.

Chambers + Moss' old system = Moss-like numbers!

Clearly my sarcasm was lost on you. The Chambers bit was in jest, setting up the fact that I thought Boston should start ahead of Booker.
I am a huge Chambers fan. I hope he does put up Moss-like numbers, I just think we might be getting ahead of ourselves with Moss comparisions considering he has never had a 1000 yard season.
Of course, he did have Jay Feidler throwing him the ball........
