MERGED: Wright didn't participate in todays practice, he wasn't out on the field.

When was the last time the bills were number 1 in the afc east or made the playoffs

you were at practice? any recap for us non-goers?

No go watch Dolphin insider and click on Saban Post interview:
The interview talks about Wright not being there and was at the doctors office this morning for his back so thats why he wasn't there.
Also said he would no longer talk about players not in camp (Ronnie Brown)

Yeah, the jokes are going to be for years about this guy. Hopefully he gets healthy, gets in great shape, and becomes Leon Lett. The butt of many a joke (oops almost a touchdown), but who wouldn't want Leon Lett on their defensive line?

anyone read Fark?

Funny how after the first few wildly original jokes/comments, they majority of them support Manny (even non-football fans), and the many of those you can tell with football knowledge, predict it is a good thing this happened.

Leon Lett

Why is "Leon Lett" the name that pops up in my own mind as well when I think of this guy: is it the "exceptionally talented but not too bright" angle? I dunno, but your post is at least the second post that's mentioned Lett and it jumped in my head a few days ago, for some reason.

There's no crying in football.
First off, I've been watching the game for many years...and I've witnessed alot of grown football players cry. They cry when they win. They cry when they fail. They cry when they get introduced into the hall of fame and get the recognition they deserve. It's an emotional game.

However, there is no room for a meltdown on the field. It shouldn't happen. And fans who hold players to that standard should have absolutely no desire to watch it happen. But, you do want that player to play with passion (emotion) at the snap of the ball.

Saban needs to redirect this kids emotion in the right direction. Tim Bowens was a great player when he was angry.

I would love to see the scene.

Wright:

J. Taylor: Wright, are you crying?!

Wright: That sack I did on Losman..... it was so beautiful. Can a 'Phin get a moment?

his eyes were still puffy from the tears.

or maybe he wating for his mommy to come in to town and make it all better.

Real classy, maybe when he is in a game, jumps into the backfield, and ends up breaking McGahee's leg while falling on him, we can all have a nice laugh.

That Wright and the trainer had consulted before practice and the whole thing was a big mis-understanding between the trainer, Wright and Saban. It was completely blown up in the media. The trainer was involved in the decision to keep him out of pads and the coach was not informed in time. No big deal.

Lee2000 If this is true it makes perfect sense in that the guy that walked off the field with him was the trainer.

I smell PR Damage Control!

Can We Stop talking about it. The Sooner we forget the sooer everybody around the league forgets
