Saban said earlier that he likes to keep alot of young guys on the team. I wouldn't be suprised to see us releasing him the next coming week. But i do have a question, if a player gets released on the IR, is he still on there since he is a FA. Or will he be able to play any?

That site never cites sources. So you never know what's fact and what's the webmaster's opinion. If it's the former, you're supposed to give credit.

That said, an injury settlement is very likely.

Turk choked in every big spot he was in... I can't stand him. I know that sounds harsh, but it just seems like he has a horrible punt when you need a good punt the most. I couldn't believe he was selected over jones in the first place.

i really hope this kid jones can get it done because turk was our mvp last year.

The kid has a great leg however he isnt consistent. Get used to the occasional shank with the kid.

Punter Matt Turk's season with the Dolphins essentially came to an end Saturday when the team placed him on injured reserve for the season and signed left-footed punter Donnie Jones from the practice squad.

Under NFL rules, players placed on injured reserve can't return to that team in that season. Turk, who aggravated a strained groin he suffered before the exhibition game against Tampa Bay on Aug. 27, is expected to be released from the practice squad later this season and given an injury settlement. But he can't be resigned even after that point.

They did and they will buy out his contract sometime in the near future and he will be off the team.
