Hmm, seems like the guys current opinion, but like him I feel we will end up with him. I hope we do, because it would be a great addition and upgrade. :)
 
sculter would fill a huge need. I would add a game to our win total if we get him. Not due to the fact that he's great, just due to the fact a weakness would be plugged
 
Whew, I really hope this happens......that would give us some breathing room at S, with Tillman, Tebuck, and Bell..add Lance..and I'm starting to feel better..but all these guys have to learn this system and now Lance is down to a couple of weeks..btw, anything on Tillmans recovery status, other than being in a car that was going too fast...and was there any punishment for him?
 
Maybe its just me, but does anyone else see him as more of a tackler then a playmaker at this point? Im thinking if we put him at FS hes going to be too slow to do a lot of coverage but if we put him at SS he can create some havoc near the line. Maybe we could use his veteran instincts in the same way that NE uses Harrison; to intimidate, play the run and cover TE's and backs

I like your idea, makes sense.
 
I think Bell and Tillman are faster safeties so to have them play the ball/cover only makes more sense. Plus Bellhas shown a penchant for getting hurt so maybe moving him to the less physical safety position would help that.

That's the position he got hurt at...S.. So I'm hoping he's over his mishaps and will stay healthy. Remember he was giving A. Freeman a run for his money before he got hurt.

I think you misunderstood what i said about bell. He got hurt playing SS which is the more physical safety spot since you play close to the line more frequently. What I was saying was to let Lance start at SS and let Bell and Tillman compete for the less physical FS spot which is more about coverage. He and Tillman are faster than Lance so it would stand to reason.

Err except the SS spot is Tebucky Jones and that's a guarentee with the amount of money Saban is paying him.
