It was time the minute Saban got here. He should have cleaned house right off the bat instead of trying to patch it up.

we have wasted two years, sit the vets , play your rookies and one to two year players and start evaluating for the future:dolphins:

daunte he is more expensive than joey worth more maybe 3rd 4th and he is trying to learn a new style of qb why not just start fresh with a new young kid
mare i can kick better than him
chambers he hasnt lived up to expectations and is overpayed for how good he realy is
shelton he is older and not that good
sprague he is just bad
tillman he is bad to

I think anytime you take over an organization whether its in Business or sports and your asked to change things around , you give some of your best performers sometime to help turn things around before you get rid of them.

That time has come to an end, unfortunately with the cap issues you create by cutting players before contract is over, its hard to just get rid of everyone, and if you look at it how many wanny players are actually left that need to go?

I Cant Agree More....cut Olindo Mare Now. He Is The Most Overrated Kicker In Football! He Can't Make A Kick When It Counts! He Always Misses Against The Pats...now Against The Jets For The Tie And Greenbay To Keep Us In The Game! What A Let Down When You Have A Good Drive And You Can't Even Get Points Out Of It.

Can Some One Tell Me What Is Wrong With Chambers? I Was Looking Forward To Some Deep Ball Touchdowns. The Guy Can't Get Open!

Thank God The Miami Heat Basketball Is Starting.

you said it ,not just Chambers but we don't have a single wide receiver that have any kind of speed where the defenses would have to respect and adjust to. not only that they can't catch either.:shakeno:

keep culpepper, brown, allen, daniels, poole, crowder...gut the rest of the team. acquire multiple draft picks.

Keep all of the old, highly paid, past their prime defensive players? I mean I love the guys, but if you are talking about cleaning house, I would think they would be first on the list. Also, would you draft a LT or trade for one? Drafting lineman always seems to be the biggest gamble. While your trading why not trade for a proven one? and a couple other lineman too?

Unfortunately since Booker is out of contract im not sure we can afford to cut chambers lose.

I would certainly see what you can get for Zach (i know he plays hard)

I would agree with Spragan and Mare

I wouldn't agree with the QB's i think were fine here for some time.

Focus on Draft picks, offensive line, and LB's. I'm not sure what positions the Draft are going to be strong in but if we have a top 10 pick which it appears that were heading for and a playmaker at wr is available I would get him.

On IR I believe...

poole??? hes already gone i think
When Miami could not work out a settlement they placed him on IR. He is still on the team.

I would seriously consider trading Thomas and Taylor..

for their sake. I really would like them to taste the playoffs, which are not really in Miami's immediate future. I believe McMichael, Booker, Jeno James, Carter, Traylor, Zgonina, and maybe even Chambers are gone. Remember Miami will get both Wright kids back next year, and likely will retain big daddy Wilkerson. Add Roth, Evans and Vickerson to that group and you have a new DL. Problem is they have so little to next to no playing time. Crowder is a building block at LB, but this will be an area of serious analysis in the off season. I believe Spragan is gone, and Thomas may actually stay a little longer. The secondary speaks for itself. Allen and Goodman may stay, but I see a serious purging at safety. Allen will be there, but he will have a new teammate or two.
On offense, I am ready to find another tight end. And while I would keep Chambers, I am ready for some serious change with the rest. I like Welker, but I am not even sure he survives next year.
I agree with a recent assessment that the Dolphins should reconsider the H-back and utilize other forms of talent. Peele is not the anwer and Rader is probably not much above his potential..
It would take all day to talk about the offensive line, but this is the cornerstone of Miami's troubles. I keep Hadnot and Carey, but not much else. I am seriously hoping Alabi and Toledo work out.
And the qb situation has been over talked about. I will not re-discuss what has been driven in the ground.

For one thing everybody or almost everybody thinks Chambers is fast. I don't. I think he just has long legs. This guy never gets open. They talk about him getting double teamed. You know like Smith for the Panthers, Harrison for the colts, I guess i could go on and on, but i know you know what i mean. The excuses for this guy is just getting to old yes he does make some of the most fantastic catches but he also misses some of the easy catches. We need to find a number 1 reciever and if we do keep Chambers then he can be Number 2,

Just rember with all this purging everyone wants. That means next season will be another re-building year so our new players will learn to gell with each other and that will give Saban the excuse of why our team stinks again. I can hear it now. Well were not winning right now because the team has to learn to play together. It will take some time. And also remember its not about winning its about learning to play winning football. Been there Done that.

Stop playing Madden and bringing it here, you can't make that many trades, nor even make some of them that you mentioned.

*bumping from last year, for relevance*

we should have purged.... sorry...
