P. Rivers is the riencarnated Dan Marino. Although i can't agree fully, that's a great compliment.

yeah he's be saying that for awhile.
He told Jaworski(sp?) that one time and Jaws looked at him and said i dont think so.

Rivers looks real good...reincarnaction of marino? too early to tell..but he look sgood

ohh really? he said that ? welll, i hate to agree but i think its true. i mean when u watch phillip rivers, its all poise and accuracy and he can also fit the ball into tight spots.

Rivers is good, but he isn't an excellent QB like Marino, not yet at least.

Marino did it for 15 years, Rivers has done it for 5 games...

:sidelol:

so tell me, merrill, what would marino have been with an LT in his backfield?

haha did marino have the top rb in the nfl when he came in or one of the best defense's ???? no rivers throws the rock like 6times a game complets 4 for 80 yards a 2TD's...exageration but he didnt nearly as much as dan ever did!!!!!!

Just further reinforces that Jaws knows what the hell he's talking about!

How is a guy who people doubted his arm strength a reincarnated Marino? I'm not saying his arm is weak but hte fact that there were doubts is what is relevant.

Actually, the Miami Dolphins were fresh off a Super Bowl appearance and AFC Champions when Dan Marino was a rookie in 1983. Not saying that Dan had a running back anywhere near LT's caliber EVER in his career, but the 1983 Dolphins were hardly a shabby team.

i think the reason he gave for the comaprison was that Rivers has enough confidence in his arm and accuracy that he'll put the ball in tight spots that other QBs will avoid and complete the pass. He's on the money with that but to those who say he hasnt proven it yet you're right too. One year does not a legend make

Marino thought and still thinks that Rivers is one of a kind, and he wanted us to get him in the draft. They or Dave told him that, that wasn't going to happen so i think thats part of why he no longer works for the Dolphins.

Valid point, but a reincarnation is a reincarnation, and arm strenght is lacking, as mmikel30 said.
