For this year we will still play primarily a 4-3 with some sort of a 3-4 look at times just to get used playing a 3-4, but my question is do you think all the vets in Miami forgot how to play in the 4-3?? I don't think so. Also we get extra camp time this year I think the most in the league. Our D will be stout.

Also we finished 8th overall even missing T.Bo and Chester from the middle of the Dline. We finished 2nd in pass D. We have been a solid on D for years, I think the Bill fans should be the ones refraning from the horn blowing.

I don't know why I have to keep reminding you Bill fans that the Fins went some 16 years without a losing season while the bills have gone just one out of the last four without a losing season.

You were 2nd in pass D last year but you've also have 3 different starters in your secondary. Not to mention you were always playing from behind all the time last year, so teams didn't need to pass against you.

.

Your pass D also had Surtain and Sammy Knight...

Plus, how many teams actully had to pass on you...no offense, but they were better off just running out the clock.

There a big difference from being a solid "D" to being a defense on the level of the 2000 Ravens defense. Where was your run defense ranked last year?

Willis let me start by saying I hate the bills. Having said that your argument is far more valid than the topic starter. We were 31st against the run. I think we will be better there, and obviously weaker in the secondary. I think most people think Saban will come in and instantly right the ship. I think this team will be better, and they will surprise. By surprise I mean 8 wins. Your opposing views are more logical than the ones posted by people blinded by their own passion.

Sammy knight? really I never noticed him out there. ;)

new faces playing in new places makes continuity difficult in the beginning. 3 shutouts is crazy talk. shoot, if Feeley is at QB, we could lose the shutouts on the "O" side of the ball :(

let's tame those expectations, be happy with an improving "D" that can slow down and hopefully stop the run. a "D", that with some help from an improving "O", won't wear down in the 4th and blow leads.

It's comforting that you know so much about us. I hope that will help your team win some games. You should let the Bills know what you know so maybe the Jills can beat us next year.

That #2 ranking in pass defense isn't that impressive if you can't stop the run and teams put up an average 144 ypg against you on the ground. Teams really didn't have to pass the ball that much against the fins last year.

BTW, you keep reminding Bills fans about how great the fins have been the last 16 years, but did you know that the Bills have actually had more wins during those 16 years? Do you realize that what the fins or Bills did even a few years ago is totally irrelevant let alone 10+ years ago. Our front offices, coaches, and players are all different. Besides Eric Moulds, Jason Taylor, Sam Madison, and Zach Thomas, name one other player or coach that was with either team 5 years ago that is still their now. Did the fins even have the same owner 10 years ago? Get over how great any team used to be. It doesn't mean anything for 2005.
