Miami Dolphin Rubber Bracelets

I was just surfing the web and found these Miami Dolphin rubber bracelets that are coming out in August. They look awesome and I'm definitley going to preorder one. They have two styles...just solid colored bracelets and then marble colored. No pictures of them are up yet, but if you look under the MLB bracelets you can see what they are going to look like. They have all NFL teams and NBA teams. I'm thinking the aqua and orange marble bracelet is going to look great. I mean I respect the noble cause of the Livestrong bracelets and all, but come on guys, when did it really become cool to wear a bracelet?

I looked at the random colored ones for the MLB teams and some don't even match the teams colors. I'm a Mets fan and they have baby blue w/ pink. I wanted to order a Mets and Dolphins one but you can't pick the "random" color (hence the fact that the colors are random). Even the Marble colored ones aren't the team colors. I don't know if I should order the phins one if I'm going to get some color like peach.

I read the title of this thread real fast and I could've sworn it said Miami Rubbers... and I was all like.......... :eek: :eek: :eek: But yeah whomever came up with those bracelets probably made a helluva lot of money.

I got 4 bracelets... all for charity, from the charities, not from ebay.

I've got a pink breast cancer one, a black and white kick racism out of football one, the livestrong one and a blue beat bullying one.

Unfortunately, I'm not kool enough to wear them all at once. :D

My inlaws live in Pawleys Island and I spend about 4 weeks a year there. I love it and hope to relocate there soon.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I haven't researched this) but I remember hearing that Armstrong isn't keeping a penny of the profits for the bracelets. Its completely for non-profit. His motives were new and deserve compliment. The problem with the popularity of these rubber bracelets is that they spawned from a noble idea and turned to a regrettable ploy (like NFL team bracelets). The folks selling these commercial ones will eventually run the idea to the ground...and its too bad.

Thanks dude...it is from the Cleveland Browns game last year in Miami. It was my first time down in Miami for a game and it was the best time of my life, even though it was a crappy game and a half filled stadium.
