Miami Dolphins 2014 schedule

My wife (and kids) typically get me tickets to two games for fathers day...I'm hoping for at least one primetime game to attend.

We have a 50/50 chance of playing Detroit on Thanksgiving. It is the year for an AFC team to play there so only us or Buffalo.

Not sure if I want to face one of the easier teams of the schedule week one at home like the Jets or if I want to get one of the tougher games out of the way.
Minnesota week one
@NYJ week 2
Buffalo week 3
@ Oakland week 4 (already released to be played in London) could make for a nice start.
 how did that easier team work out for you in the biggest game in 5 years?

I think it leaked a while back that it's Buffalo.

I read how that was worded, it may end up being Buffalo(there's a 50/50 shot) but I think people may have been misinterpreting that article.

Yeah right. I said it the same thing in a thread about the bye week, you have to be a constant playoff team to get a favorable schedule. So we will end up having a tough schedule after the London game. They will probably give us Denver in the last two weeks.

you think they give favorable scheds to playoff teams? where have the scheds of us, you and Buf been outrageous in recent years? the sched of opponents are determined years in advance(outside of 2 games). I think non playoff teams just like to complain about scheds.

I nearly got mugged in Chicago one time. I had my gun with me and convinced them I was stupid enough to use it so they left me alone. That is the only real experience I've had at either place.

That would never happen in Detroit!

Tomorrow I can start to plan my annual fall trip to Miami to see the Dolphins play.

Nublar, where do you normally stay? Making my first trip to a home game this year. Would flying into Lauderdale and staying in Hollywood for a few days be a good choice? Need some ideas.

I'm assuming because London game is Week 4, Bye will be Week 5.

Ugh.....I hate early Bye Weeks.

I hate the bye week but at least you get it out of the way early.

For the fans its great.

But I'm more concerned about the players. 4 games in is a bit early to need that rest week.

Rather have it deeper into the season.

in reality it is really the halfway point, remember they start in July so that may be a good time to have the bye.
