Miami Dolphins to officially part ways with Chad Henne

I'd think he'd go somewhere where he's guaranteed a legitimate TC competition for the starting job. It should and he'd win, but it won't happen in Jersey, although I have little doubt he'd get that job by default down road. I'm thinking maybe Seattle.. or even more so, Denver. Will be interesting to watch.

Typical ignoramus philosophy towards coaches and QBs that fans have. "If he wins he's great, if he loses he stinks" DUMB. It's the same dumb *** reason people had for defending Sporano coming into last season and this season. Just because he had a winning record didn't mean he was any good, and it certainly didn't project to future success.
I don't want to get into Sanchez vs Henne, but I'll put it to you like this, if given a choice between the two to start for my team next season, I'd choose watching the NBA instead.

I have plenty of enjoyment watching the Bulls right now

Am I going to enjoy watching the White Sox this year? Unlikely :boohoo:

Seahawks
Broncos
Browns
Vikings
Jaguars
Cardinals

Those are the teams I see where he could compete for the starting job.

You don't get to back to back title games w/ poor QB play. I can remember Jets seasons dating back to 1981 so I have seen my share of bad QBs, mark sanchez does not fall into that category. Did he take a step back this year? absolutely(despite better #s across the board) but the team took a step back and it wasn't all his fault. Dolphin fans should undersatnd how hard it is to win in January and you aren't winning 4 of 6 road playoff games w/ a bad QB- I don't care if you have the '85 bears D you aren't doing that and obviously our D was nowhere near that level.

You don't have to like him, I would be annoyed watching a guy many average fans perceive as a bad one continue to win game after game too so I get your frustration but you don't go into NE in january and outplay tom Brady if you are a bad QB.

Im pretty sure that if he had a fair competition with Moore he would be very capable of winning the starting job also. Not saying who would win but its definately not inconceivable.
I kind of wish we would bring him back draft maybe Tanneyhill by trading down or 2nd rounder and let them all fight it out

or moores seasons bouncing around the league. Although I still think all three guys have potential and there is alot of football left to play

Actually since Moore is bound to be back, that would put him on 2 rosters in 5 years.. don't know how you'd consider that "bouncing around" especially when we're considering the guy drafted to be backup to the backup who came out the same who if coming here would also be on his second roster in 5 years. :idk:

Actually three rosters . You forgot the Cowboys signed him as an undrafted free agent cut him, put him on practice squad , then was signed by Carolina then signed by Miami.
So three teams since 2007. Flynn would be on his second roster and he will not be signed to be some teams backup, whoever signs Flynn will be having him as starter. Lets not act like Green Bay wouldnt want to keep Flynn they just cant afford him

Trent Dilfer was A Super Bowl winning QB for the Ravens in 2000 and Rex Grossman was on the Bears team in the 2006 super bowl losing season. Teams with great defenses win championships, But now with so many offenses now using the spread offense and beating teams with their offense teams will need at least a good QB to get to a super bowl. That's why I don't see the Jets winning a Super Bowl with Sanchez at QB.

I think can think how we want but as close as the jets came to winning it all with Sanchez Its entirely possible they could win a superbowl with him. That being said the jets dont see to be much better or any better than the dolphins shape wise going into the season so they may take a step back

Trent Dilfer took 2 franchises to postseason and missed out by a game taking a 3rd, Trent Dilfer was not a great QB but he's a very underrated guy. he made plays to win games for that team and it's not a coincidence that w/ all those great Ds they never even made another SB let alone win another one.

grossman was a fluky thing, the NFC was brutally bad that year(a 10-6 team had a bye), they never won another playoff game w/ Grossman.

Sanchez has helped win 4 road playoff games, 2nd most all time, and he's made plays to win all 4. In the 2 playoff losses we didn't lose b/c of the QB.

If we had made one run and never got back I could buy the fluky argument but 2 years? back to back? it wasn't a fluke, he played very well and helped us win. He has been inconsistent in the reg season w/o a doubt but the 2 title games were not fluky runs.

Wouldn't that be ironic if he ended up in Denver after all the fans booing and and the we want Orton chants

Time to clean house....this a new era. Mediocrity should never be tolerated. Good luck Chad, you actually looked much improved early on in the season - just learn to put it in the end zone buddy.

Its the right time although I do like him. Hard working, started to show some bright sparks this season.

If only his ability on the field matched his effort off it then maybe just maybe he'd make it in the league. There is a good chance he still can, unfortunately it was never to be in Miami.

He'll be a good back-up for most teams in the league, and a potential starter in some places too (seattle, NYJ)

Good luck Chad.
