Miami Dolphins will take note if QB Jaxson Dart's stock rises at Senior Bowl

I know it's early, but what do the QB's in next year's draft class look like?

I think next season goes one of two ways, and we'll find which way it is early in the season. Either Miami makes a stunning comeback and all the things that went wrong for us go right and we make a deep playoff run, or we'll win 2-3 games all year. I just don't see an 'in contention until the end but don't make the playoffs', 8 or 9 win season happening next year.

For as much as I hate to admit it, I think it will be the latter and not the former.

That being said, if next year's QB class is projected to be superior to this years, it might be better to not use a pick on a QB this draft, instead use the pick to build the line, O or D, and use what will likely be a top 5 pick in the 26 draft to select our QB for 26 and beyond.

Dolphins will not be top 5 pick team next yr. Wilson ain't coming Miami cheap. He still want be starter

Sign a vet and draft a QB this year and draft a QB next year. Rinse and repeat until we find the chosen one.
Sound like great move. Probably light fire under Tua also. We ain't win nothing in 25 yr.

Obviously entitled to your opinion but yea, I dont see it, at all, and find it a very odd comparison but hey who knows, QB's are weird. Sadly, I think this QB class is pretty bad. Senior Bowl info isn't good either, so far. I would like Miami to add a rookie but at the same time, dont take one just to take one and appease people that just want a guy to "be excited about." There are other routes we can go to fill out the QB room with some youth. If they really wanna add a QB in this draft, Id rather see them take one late day 3 and burn up a top 100 pick on a bad class when there are TONS of OL/DL prospects that are starter worthy in that Round 2, 3, and even 4 area.
Ok I can ride with that, we can just get our backup in FA then, give him a 1 year contracf.

Howard is top 5 pick at qb position. He is ok. Leonard is 7th rd pick. Too much work to develop. I would pass. There is no way around Tua injury history. Dolphins must bring in young qb and veteran qb as well. So if Dart milroe or Howard available in 2nd or 3rd rd. They should draft one. I like Dart the best but if not the other 2 will work for now
Wait what, Howard top 5? Come on now, go look at his numbers at KSU (Skyler Thompson style). Now he is a better prospect then ST by far. But let's context on his number this year. He was a 5th year guy. He was playing with maybe the greatest all around talent on O in college in years. Guy had 3 first round WRs and Smith is the best WR prospect in years, as in a true generational talent. Mutiple OL will be picked high. Also two RBs that will play in the NFL.

At KSU as a SR, he only completed 61% of his passes, compared to 73% at OSU. I do like him as a prospect as in 3rd-5th round type. If you watch him play he makes a lot of bone headed throws that he got away with because Smith and the other WRs. This won't happen at the NFL level.

Why would u want qb late? It waste off time. Qb position is most important one on team.
Nobody wants a QB late in general. But drafting a mid round talent in the first doesn't make him a 1st round talent. This draft is just poor at QB. You do have a decent amout of 3-5 round QBs though in this draft. There is two high guys in Ward/Sanders (who most years wouldn't be top 5 guys) then a big drop to a bunch of day 3 guys. I don't see any day two guys (2nd round) though some teams will probably overdaft a guy or two.

This is just one early ranking and a lot can change but next years has far greater potential at the top and alot more depth. Those top 3 all have crazy physical gifts just need to develop. Plus just think a lot scouts had Allar and Nussmeier as QBs 3/4 in this draft and the opted to stay. Then you always a a guy or 2 kinda shoot up, like Ward this year.

Offseason comes along, people get qb desperate and start to focus on individual traits while ignoring the actual tape. I’m sure Dart will run well and arm strength will be on display and people will go crazy and he’ll get overdrafted.
Or we will sit back and let another stud get drafted elsewhere.

There are 0 studs in this qb class on top of that Dart is a mid round pick in which we haven’t seen a good mid round pick in over a decade….

You’re being dramatic….

Grier: "But, but, but the way to do it is to get all the skill positions first, then you build the OLine!"
