Miami has the hardest SOS in the AFC East, 18th Overall

As I see it. Bills, jets, dolphins are all tied for worst and then there is new England. Patriots are the only team that made the playoffs and that's what matters. Who cares how you did in the regular season. Nothing else matters but playoffs and the Super Bowl.

Like it or not, that's where you belong. We were all within a game or 2 of each other, with NE up top. That's just stone cold fact...

There's a huge difference btw making 2 of 3 postseasons and competing for 32 than not competing for any.

Division winners New England, Pittsburgh/Baltimore, Houston, and Denver

wildcards Baltimore/Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, Tennessee, or San Diego

No jets get over it

Thank you for letting me know, I can now save myself time, money and emotion tied to these games.

That was 2 years ago. Last year the Jets regressed, the gap has shrunk - and they're in that same tier of mediocre teams. I'd say the Bills would be more likely to make wild card as opposed to the Jets.

2 and 3 seasons ago are absolutely irrelevant to this discussion. Those were entirely different teams than the one last year, which is what we are talking about. Last years teams were all on equal footing, with the Patriots running the division, as usual. The Jets are slightly better than the Dolphins right now, but not enough for anyone to be saying they are on different levels, or something absurd like that...

don't lump us in w/ you guys and the Bills.

Okay ... we have a 4.0/5 turd rating.

Jets only have a 3.5/5 turd rating. Lucky pooper-scoopers ... give them something to bicker about in the locker room!! Rex & Sancheez both have a spare turd in their pockets ... in case something goes right!!

take away a Brandon Marshall and we become worse. Add a Tony Sparano and you become the most boring predictable team in the league.

The jets did regress as did Miami.

Buf could be a playoff contender but if I was a betting man I'd bet on Rex and the Jets over Buf or Mia but we'll see.

We are one year removed from a title game app, it's not like we were good 5 years ago. Last year we had an awful year yet still contended for the playoffs and still won 8 games.

How are teams w/ 8 and 6 wins on equal footing?

don't confuse matching up well w/ us w/ being as good as us. Miami has won 4 of the last 6 vs. us but vs. all other teams they are 16-26, in the same span the Jets are 26-16 against teams besides Miami.

I'll tell you this, at 8 wins, you are MUCH closer to a 6 win team than you are to a 14 win team. To try and say anything else is homerism, plain and simple. We can revisit this after the draft, once we have a better idea of how the depth charts will look, but you aren't going to convince anyone but the biggest NYJ homers that you all are heads and shoulders better than Miami and Buffalo. NE is a mile ahead of anyone else in the AFC East, with the other three team duking it out for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. After NE, the division could shake out with any team ending up in those slots and no one being surprised...

Why is everyone arguing with him anyway?...They've been waiting to win a superbowl even longer than us. Actually, they haven't even been to one in 41 years?....and they have the bigest jerk for a HC in the NFL.....He's right, we should not lower ourselfs and put them together with us.

Ozzy rules!!

I'm done. You can't talk rationally with a homer.

Yes junc, you guys are so awesome. 2 AFC Championship games in 2010 and 2011 are totally relevant to 2013. The Jets are going to pound every team that steps foot into that stadium. Sanchez is an elite QB who totally carries his team in the mold of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. The Dolphins should be thankful to even be allowed to be in the same division as they are. Did I miss anything else in there...?
