Ricky N Ronnie
All-Pro
Acording to the Miami Herald Miami has increased there offer to Ronnie Brown..Hope to see him in camp soon.......
The Dolphins have increased their offer slightly to running back Ronnie Brown, but two sources with knowledge of the contract talks said the deal is not commensurate with previous No. 2 overall selections.
From all indications, no resolution looks likely in the near future.
''We're still working to get a deal done,'' said agent Todd France, who did not discuss the terms of the offer from the Dolphins or what he is asking for. ``When the Dolphins are willing to do something that is fair, we'll get something done.''
The Dolphins have upped the guaranteed money in the contract to $19.5 million from approximately $19 million the team was offering early last week. However, the incentives and contract escalators still are lagging in the deal, a source said.
The Dolphins declined to comment on the negotiations.
I dont think he is scared so much as the market is out of whack. It happened last year because of Gallery getting 18m as #2 pick and Fitz getting 19m+ as #3. The problem is that Zona overpaid to get fitz signed and paid him like a #1 overall pick in relation to the 2003 rookies. It threw everything out of order for this year; thats why so many top 10 picks are having trouble getting signed.PhinsPhan said:Todd France should not be in charge of a 2nd overall pick. Simple as that. He simply wants a great deal or something that does not get beat by Braylons deal. He is just scared.

The other part of that which you started to lead to is that Brown is his biggest/most noteable client. If he doesnt get a big enough bonus for ronnie he wont be able to build a career off him.
