I definitely am nervous about Buffalo, if Losman is decent they will be tough to beat. I do think we are better but it's up to JP.

Give him his credit where credit is due? He had the best rb in the nfl , Te and a probowl qb which all made his Ol look better than it really was.

Whether he is the best or one of the best is a matter of opinion. Don't whine because the writer didn't say he is the best. Right now no one knows what your OL is gonna look like.

I'd say they can only get better just because any 5 posters on this board could do no worse. But whether "better" means they are just the 31st worst O-line instead of the 32nd, or they become a top 10 O-line is anyones guess. Oh, and while a great RB, a good(sorry man, but Gonzo is far and AWAY the best TE in the NFL, Gates is good, but no better than McMichael) TE, and a QB who became very good in 2004, certainly helps an O-line, the entire team still starts and stops with those 5 men. You want to tout Brees making the Pro-Bowl? I can make the argument that his trip their was paid for by those 5 men who gave him th4e time to shine.

Maybe we have gotten praise because we have been competitive all this time (Which is unheard of), we were getting all the praise because until last year we were averaging 10 wins a season, had a top 5 Defense, one of the best RBs in football, one of the best TEs in football, a young reciever that was probably (Aside from Moulds...and he is getting up there in age) the most talented WR in AFC east, and a QB that was a joke, yet kept getting it done (Thanks mostly to the Defense and Running).

You had a ceiling of about 10 wins and a 2nd rd apperance but every year we heard how you were a SB caliber team and never came close. Your D was exposed in big games and you never came close. Chambers is good but highly overrated- tell him to get a 1,000 yd season then get back to me. Kept getting what done? Are you calling dan a joke? This goes back to the late 90s as well. You got nothing done expect getting humiliated in playoff games.

Pretty much like in the early 80s, when your Jets kept being picked to win the East, and go to the Superbowl, yet it was Miami that kept finishing 1st in the east and going to the superbowl.

We were a half away from the SB in 1982 and a few mins form the AFC Tiitle game in 1986- at least we showed up in playoff games which is something Miami has not done in their playoff losses in a long time. We go out w/ some dignity while you guys have been humiliated in the playoffs for years.

Don't be upset because Miami is thought of in a higher position then your team, Just last year (Before July), Miami was thought of as a better team then yours, they have one bad year because of players missing, players hurt, and incompitent Coaches (Problems no longer with the Dolphins), and this year, all of a sudden the Jets are better

Miami wasn't thought of as better even before all your problems. We were going to be better regardless. We lost a ton of FAs b/c of the cap in '03 and had Chad injured- that's the onyl reason you finished ahea dof us but we rebounded quickly w/ a young core that has been in big games. Your core hasn't been in a playoff game since '01 and their experience is all blowout losses.

Fine, I am not getting upset with that, I say start the season, let Miami prove how wrong the so called experts are in week 2. You should do the same, unless you think that you need to talk for your team, because on week 2, they will not be able to do it?

You are not beating us in Week 2 unless we have a rash of injuries, we are better and have owned you guys since 1998. You have a chance at home but I'd still favor us for the sweep. You are a year away from truly being competitive.

Gates blew up as the entire system blew up as well. The quarterback had a career year. The runningback had a usual amazing year due to the fact that he is amazing. The line had a good year and even the average recievers all did their job. Gates had a huge opportunity to shine and ran with it. If you reverse situations do you truely believe Gates would of had a better year in Miami and Randy would have a worse year in San Diego? Sometimes I feel that people forget how much of a team sport football is.

I am a fan of Gates and think he is a very good player. I also feel that last year he was too much of a surprise on a team that was too much of a surprise. There is always a chance that last year will be Gates only good year in the NFL.

If he was on another team, I might not have noticed. But if I knew as much about the man as I do now, I would hold the same opinion.
