I hope your team feels the same way. :D

same thing was said last year. Everytime the bills beat the fins , FH turned into the twighlight zone. Only a couple of posters turned up to eat their crow.PHAZINPHINZPHAN said:Let the season begin so we can start trash talking the JILLS

Whether he is the best or one of the best is a matter of opinion. Don't whine because the writer didn't say he is the best. Right now no one knows what your OL is gonna look like.
Whether one is the best or not is a matter of opinion. You only want people to say he's the best because he's a fin now. You wouldn't care if he was still w/ the chargers and all was said is that he's ONE OF THE BESTPhinPhan1227 said:Dallas, St Louis, and then San Diego. I'd say they can only get better just because any 5 posters on this board could do no worse. But whether "better" means they are just the 31st worst O-line instead of the 32nd, or they become a top 10 O-line is anyones guess. Oh, and while a great RB, a good(sorry man, but Gonzo is far and AWAY the best TE in the NFL, Gates is good, but no better than McMichael) TE, and a QB who became very good in 2004, certainly helps an O-line, the entire team still starts and stops with those 5 men. You want to tout Brees making the Pro-Bowl? I can make the argument that his trip their was paid for by those 5 men who gave him th4e time to shine.

Maybe we have gotten praise because we have been competitive all this time (Which is unheard of), we were getting all the praise because until last year we were averaging 10 wins a season, had a top 5 Defense, one of the best RBs in football, one of the best TEs in football, a young reciever that was probably (Aside from Moulds...and he is getting up there in age) the most talented WR in AFC east, and a QB that was a joke, yet kept getting it done (Thanks mostly to the Defense and Running).
Pretty much like in the early 80s, when your Jets kept being picked to win the East, and go to the Superbowl, yet it was Miami that kept finishing 1st in the east and going to the superbowl.
Don't be upset because Miami is thought of in a higher position then your team, Just last year (Before July), Miami was thought of as a better team then yours, they have one bad year because of players missing, players hurt, and incompitent Coaches (Problems no longer with the Dolphins), and this year, all of a sudden the Jets are better
Fine, I am not getting upset with that, I say start the season, let Miami prove how wrong the so called experts are in week 2. You should do the same, unless you think that you need to talk for your team, because on week 2, they will not be able to do it?
TKO said:Until McMichael can put up numbers like Gates did last year, Gates is by far the better TE.
Gates best season : 81 receptions for 964 yards and 13 TD's
McMichael's bes season : 73 receptions for 791 yards and 4 TD's
No way, now how, is McMichael the better TE.
Dol-Fan Dupree said:Gates needs to put up Gates type numbers this year to be considered how good people think he is. There has been many flash in the pan on year wonders in the NFL.
TKO said:The same can be said for McMichael. I don't understand all the hype with this guy. Last year was his best season and even then the numbers still weren't that great. Let me ask this question. If you had a choice, McMichael or Gates, who do you take?

Dol-Fan Dupree said:I am more sold on McMichael than I am on Gates. Gates needs to at least show one more year at a high level before I jump on that bandwagon. McMichael at least showed flashes his first two years in the league. Gates did not show much in his first year.
There is a big reason why they have said Gates came out of nowhere last year.
TKO said:Their numbers from their rookie years aren't all that different.
McMichael : 39 receptions for 485 yards and 4 TD's
Gates : 24 receptions for 389 yards and 2 TD's
And Gates obviously blew up last year, in just his second season. No doubt in my mind that he's the better TE. Not bad for a converted hoops player.
