Miami Should go "nuclear"!!!

I don't know about you, but I don't tell the guy that writes my checks what to do or what I am going to do. If you find a job in which you can do that and still be employed, please let me know.

How influential of a GM is Ireland then if he cannot explain to his neophyte boss that courting another coach while you currently have one employed is not a good idea. So either Ireland has no influence OR Ross does not give a darn. Either of those are not good.

Many coaches and personnel people have forced the owner to fire them when the owner tries to do something they disagree with. You see it all the me when a FO tries to forces coaching staff changes on the HC. The HC says "no" and he is canned.

I dont think Irelands one year with full control did that badly. People expect some sort of loyalty over the need to do a job. Ross wanted to see Harbaugh.. Ireland was along for the ride. Coaches bring in players every week to replace guys already on the roster. It's the nature of the game, and isn't any different for front offices. Let's not kid ourselves, you wouldn't bite the hand that feeds you would you to save a friend who deserves to be fired? I wouldn't.

I would've liked to see Ireland go, purely from the standpoint of cleansing the franchise of the Parcellian stench. Do I think he's a bad talent evaluator.. no I don't.

Even the great Bill Polian got canned. Ironic that Ireland still has a job, but I believe he has a better reputation that we're led to believe. Everyone makes mistakes, especially when you're being groomed by one of the most arrogant teachers ever (Parcells).

I have no doubt, that if it came between hiring the coach that Ross wants, and keeping Ireland.. He'd fire Ireland in a heartbeat.

Just interested to see why you think Ireland deserves the boot. Why?

He is the top of the pecking order of a failed regime with a failed philosophy. Need to go new and different direction. The last thing we want to project to a potential coach is here is Ireland take it or leave it.

Although he (my boss) doesn't write my checks, I do currently work in a position where I have a *ton* of say. And I'm not 50. It exists.

That is fine that you want to see Harbaugh...but guess what? FIRE SPARANO. That was unfair to Tony and made the organization look like dog ****. IF we would have cleaned house last year, we would be into the reclamation project by a year.

Unfair to Tony? Give me a break that moron got what many don't a second chance, and a raise. Instead of learning and growing he dug his stubborn Italian heels in the ground and jammed more of the same down our throats! Poor Tony oh whatever! Maybe if he and his wife didn't act like scorned middle school brats, grew up let bi-gones be bi-gones we wouldn't say Poor Tony! Nope instead they pouted and acted like babies! Tony git millions of dollars to suck and go away! How about poor fans? Poor season ticket holders?

How about this?
GM: Eric DeCosta (or Phil Savage)
HC: Brian Billick
OC: Jedd Fisch
DC: Mike Nolan

How is that?

OR...Bill Polian, Bill Kuhlarich, Mike Mayock, Tom Donahoe, Charlie Casserly, Mike Lombardi would all be quality GM's IF you wanted to clean house.

Don't tell me there are not GM fits

Some of these like Polian, who turned day to day operations over to his son and Casserly tell me you just want him fired for the sake of firing him. This is not the time to clean house on the GM side with the draft around the corner.

It is unfair to Tony and that is how potential coaches and people around the league perceive it. That is all that matters.

I just gave you a long list. Did not say you had to like all of them, my friend. Bottom line is the vast majority of those guys are better than Jeff Ireland.

I want him out because he is potentially stopping quality candidates from wanting to coach here. That is my issue.

I've been hearing this since it happened. Just because it's not done doesn't make it wrong to do. Teams constantly evaluate outside talent, but no one cares that the players aren't canned before the replacement is interviewed. What makes coaches exempt? It's a business.

LOL. all you guys cherry pick the one guy you think Ireland is better than.

I will meet you all halfway...if a quality HC can be delivered AND they share the same vision, I can live Jeff Ireland as the GM. However, until I am proven otherwise, I feel the prudent move is to clean house and start anew.

the clean house crap doesnt work. its a crap shoot and a guaranteed 3 years of mediocrity and no accountability. its better to push on and keep putting the right peices in which includes a head coach.

your opinion has no facts or logic to really back it up its just some silly thing to say after a losing season. go throw in for some plane advertisements or somethin.

If Tony didn't suck it is a mute point! It goes without saying Harbaughgate was a black eye and guys like Cowher spoke negaively against it. However right now it looks like Fisher and Billick have no issues.

Then you SHOULD support Bowles as the next HC because the next coach will want to make his own changes.
