I don't know about you, but I don't tell the guy that writes my checks what to do or what I am going to do. If you find a job in which you can do that and still be employed, please let me know.
How influential of a GM is Ireland then if he cannot explain to his neophyte boss that courting another coach while you currently have one employed is not a good idea. So either Ireland has no influence OR Ross does not give a darn. Either of those are not good.
Many coaches and personnel people have forced the owner to fire them when the owner tries to do something they disagree with. You see it all the me when a FO tries to forces coaching staff changes on the HC. The HC says "no" and he is canned.
