2010 and 2011 are obviously too early to tell
So Only 2 players drafted by Miami within the 1st 4 rds since 2002 have made the pro bowl: A #1 overall pick LT and a #2 overall pick RB thanks to the Wildcat.
Only 2....just 2 QBs drafted at ALL (both in 2nd rd, and Pat White doesn't count)
Busts:19....way too many misses within the 1st 4 rounds.
Seth McKinney and Randy McMichael aren't busts because they did start and contribute for Miami for a few years.
Vernon Carey probably should be labeled a bust for his draft position.
Ronnie Brown is an absolute bust...a running back @ #2 overall and his best season was 1,008 yds rushing. Yeah that draft was crappy...all the more reason to avoid taking a RB #2 overall.
Matt Roth is a bust because he's no longer on the team (Thanks Tuna) and 2nd rd picks should still be on your team after 5-6 seasons imo.
Henne isn't a bust yet...after his 3rd season it may or not be official. He's definitely not far from it though.
People wonder why other Dolphin fans are so critical and negative of the moves the FO have been making (or not making). FO hasn't exactly shown they have a proven track record of knowing what they're doing .
I find it funny that Miami is hesitate to take a risk on a QB in the 1st rd yet they take risk/luxury pick on Pat White in the 2nd rd.
Yeah you can bring up the few nice things the FO have done but they have been hitting a lot more than missing, whether it's the draft or in FA regardless of who's in charge. How much longer will it take to get somebody in the FO that has clue, how many years of failed drafts does it realize that the philosophy of avoiding a QB in the 1st rd and taking cornfed lineman is not working?
I don't blame any fan that criticizes any personnel decision Miami makes.
Those drafts were just pure disgusting.
