look there are players that didnt turn out for us but, turned out for others.. like chris clemons, yeremiah bell, what about brandon fields... hes like the best punter in the league lol.. we have drafted ok.. the problem is that we didnt draft enough.. i mean look at when jimmy johnson was our gm/ coach.. he always had tons of draft picks.. he didnt hit on all of them or even half but he hit on enough that made us the team we were for over 6 years. I have faith in this regime.. just look at how many picks we have had recently, and how productive the young players have been... we have a GREAT young defense, that is going to be better than that of the late 90's. Even the bucs never found a quarterback but won a superbowl. lets just be happy that they draft good players... we'll get lucky with a good quarterback sooner or later. I'm happy that we draft bpa and not by position.. if we did that then we would be wannyish.. more picks better chance to hit quality players... lets see where it goes people... at least we arent signing a crap load of old people and saying we upgraded...

17th best ilb in the league last year... has had more 100 tackle seasons than bart scott... was a plus 14 against run last year.. not a bust, learn football

I do agree Crowder was a good player for us but the past two years he has been injury prone

oh and teams averaged 86 yards rushing a game after channing came back from injury. he may have sucked at pass protection, and may have not been best playmaker but, he took on blockers and he made it hard for other teams to run on us.. not a bust, just under appreciated

What is he? An offensive lineman? He sucks. Cant defend the pass, cant blitz, cant make plays. All he does is talk **** and play average when accompanied by a pro bowler. (Thomas, Dansby)

well to be honest it was not his role to blitz in our defense. Thats like attacking Wake because he s not as good against the run.

I dont know if you watched last season, but wake was marginally better against the run than 09. Seeing as this season will be just his 2nd season as a starter, i think you can expect even better performances from him. Unlike Chowder who came into the league as a bum and left as one.
Stop being giddy over stupid stats and rankings. He was not, nor has he ever been a playmaker on defense.
When the chump can't get paid and has to retire after only 5 years because no one else as any interest in him other than 2nd 3rd string insurance, than you suck.

I think u are quite wrong up until the past two seasons when healthy he was one of the better linebackers versus the run.

Haha. All he has ever been is good against the run. That won't make up for every other aspect of a great or even good linebacker that he lacks in.

very few linebackers are good in all aspects of the game. Thomas also was not great in pass coverage and was not a blitzer yet he was one of the best.

Yea but Zach also averaged somewhere around 50-70 MORE tackles per season than Chowder. More sacks than Crowder, more INTs than Crowder. Thomas was a PLAYMAKER and all around way better LB than Chowder.
