Miami to interview George Paton of the Vikings for GM job

Come down man!!!! it isn't that serious, the fins will select who they want. Chillllllllllllllllllllllllllll Out

Now I don't know who we are going to end up hiring none of us do. However I have said time and time again in regards to firing Irish "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it". He had his warts and I would of loved to of seen him upgraded but there are far worse out there.

It was past time for him to go and if the next guy is bad u fire him too. I don't see any advantage to keeping a bad gm because there are worse guys

This is where the search is starting to look aimless and without direction.

Who cares what it looks like. Before pointing blame at "Ross not Philbin" how about letting it play out until they make a hire.

Good people can come from terrible teams. Was Patton highly rated when he worked here as a scout? My basic recollection of the Spielman era was a helluva lot of wasted draft picks. I get the general impression that Spielman improved in Minnesota. Maybe Patton has helped him.

Does anyone know if Patton is related to the famous WWII general? By naming him George, I'm sure that his parents knew that they gave him an extremely prominent name.

Im sorry refurbished .
I assumed you meant the upgrades but I am referring to the last minute comment. The NFL indicated they would not seriously consider Miami any longer without upgrades so Ross contracted a company to design the upgrades. Once completed he took his plan forward and the rest is history.

He had 1 year in charge and he panicked a lot. Not a Spielman fan by any means but he's been better with the Vikings.

Don't know enough about Paton though to judge. But the Viking fans seem to like him

Paton was almost hired last year to be the Rams GM..but he decided to stay in Minnesota. Why do people start wailing about someone as a GM candidate when they know absolutely nothing about him?
