zonk4ever said:Frerotte is still the starter. You guys forget we were playing the very best defense in football! (Steel Curtain) We couldn't run. We couldn't pass block. Gus made the right reads but the receivers did not make plays. Feeley's performance was mediocre. Anytime he threw a pass more than 5 yards, forget about it! And he had more blocking than Gus. Yeah he was 16 of 20 but the Steelers were laying off giving up the 5 yard tosses. This game was about turnovers and a super bowl team vs. a 4 - 12 team. The Steelers are sooooo deep! Their 4th string runner could beat out Ronnie Brown. (Willie Parker)
I am really impressed with Nick's defensive schemes. No wonder he's considered a genius. How many sack opportunites has our defense missed in the 3 exhibition games? He can only coach 'em. he can;t make the tackles. Patience Dolfans.

Gus Frerotte:
I think he is a good QB with alot of experience, but he is to inconsistent. One week he can come out and dazzle the coachs and the next week he completely blows. Secondly, he is to older to depend on. We need a younger QB for the future. Plus, Gus is past his prime. He is a good backup that can tutor a younger QB, and step in from time to time. He is nothing more than a backup QB.
A.J. Feeley:
He is another inconsistent QB. He only plays good when he needs to.Like now that Gus is starting he comes out and out plays Gus, the minute you give him the starting job he will come out and do a horrible job. He never was a starter and he never will be.
Sage Rosenfels
Honestly I love Sage. I think he is an awesome QB, but I dont think he belongs in Miami. I would like to see him go somewhere else where he can compete because he isnt going to in Miami.
Brock Berlin:
I think he is the future of Miami, and i think if he got the chance he could be our starting QB this year. I hear he looked good in camp and he looked great on the field. I think he is a best QB so far this preseason. He has more yards than Feeley with about 20 less passes. He has the best comp.% with a 71.4%, and he has the best QB rating with 95.5. He is the best and he should get a shot.
As for the Tim Couch rumors,I say give him a shot, it cant hurt us.His numbers do compare with fellow 1999 draft pick and defending NFC Champion Donovan McNabb. There career passing totals are Couch=11131, McNabb=16926. And Couch does have a better comp.%, Couch=59.8%, McNabb=58.3%.Another thing is that McNabb actually hastargets in Philly. Couch had nobody, and if he can put up those #s with no targets, imagine what he do with them.
I say Feeleyneeds to go. We need to start looking at other options available because Feeley and Frerotte arent the answers.

King Madison II said:I know this much .i have been watching ou and osu's qbs and al pena is the most underated qb and this guy has dan's typ of aura about him he isnt mobile but bamn guys he has a great arm why is he a 3rd team guy ? because the other two are very mobil but they dont have as a accurate throw as pena does so i believe that i will take a accurate arm over mobility and a bad arm any day.
so the bottom line here is this qb is in my humble opinion the next tom brady and you can be rest ausred that he will be.

phillyphinphan said:Neither one of these qb's are the answer for this team. For all of gus' expereince with this offense I wuold have like to see better decisions with the ball and better throws. Feeley, this preseason was his proving ground to see if he can face adversity (new coaching staff, new offense, last years flaws, verteran competition who is well versed in this new offense etc.) and in my eyes he has failed to take command of this team. You can factor in dropped passes, bad oline play and any other varibles you like. I try to separate that from the "pure" qb equation. Can you move the chains consistantly, thus keeping your "d" fresh? Can you generate a resonable amount of points per posession in a given quarter? do you make smart choices with the rock in your hands? Do you have a swagger or pocket escapability, Especially with a gelling O-line? The most telling thing about these two qb's is that after OTA's, training camp, and so far this preseason NONE of these questions have been answered in my mind. Without a serious threat of a passing attack it will be a long season for ricky and ronnie......and dolphans......
