yesterday we really missed Jourdan Lewis. In his absense we tried DYmonte Thomas and Delano Hill in the slot and it killed us for 3 TDs. If Colorado's QB gets healthy they could be a very good team.

Offensively Speight needs to trust his feet more, once he started moving around the offense started to click, but I think the gameplan to start was too arrogant.

I think they needed that punch in the mouth they got early. After the first qtr they only gave up that 70 yard bomb that Hill got toasted on. Brown figured them out and got them all but stopped them. Good to see them stare down and conquer adversity. I'm just not a fan of Wilton Speight. He has issues with blizes, moves slow as molasses and his throwing motion looks more like a shotput than a throw. I fail to see how Peters cant beat anyone out next year.

Jake Butt said they had a horrible week of practice which is interesting. Harbaugh said they had the best Monday they've had since his arrival. Though I dont foresee Penn State being much of a challenge, I hope they dont get caught looking forward.

I give Speights a bit more credit than you. When he wants to move he can to buy time, a big issue I thought was his reluctance to do so after his fumble in the first half. Not perfect by a long shot (see him trying to force the deep ball to Darboh) but I do not see him as a weakness (yet).

But yes, unless he takes that next step I think it is Peters's job

I enjoyed the PSU beating quite a bit, MD more than ever I see why you aren't a huge Speight fan. There were several easy plays to be made that would have resulted in TDs but he short hopped his target

Not a good idea to bring 200 recruits to a game that you get beat 78-0.

The Dolphins should have a top 5 pick and I would love to draft Peppers. The versatility he brings a team is unmatched. I'd settle for a second round QB to get him. Outside of Watson I dont see a bona fide NFL QB prospect that high.

At the end of the day, I'll never get why Rutgers decided to make Jim Harbaugh and Michigan the target of their rebuild (both coaches and fans). I mean yeah Chris Ash comes from OSU, but don't poke a bear

Hey guys. Was unaware of this thread as I don't visit this spot. Good to see some more michigan fans!

Going to the big house to see the Maryland game in November. Can't wait.

Michigan is a great team. They thrashed Rutgers.

Clemson, Alabama, Michigan, Louisville.

That's my top 4 right now.

Though the beat down wont be anywhere near as bad when they play Michigan State, I expect Harbaugh will pour it on if given the opportunity. Dantonio has been poking the Bear all year and that may very well bite him in the ass.

If Brandon Peters was in his second year in the system he'd be starting and I'd give Michigan the nod to beat Bama in the championship. Sadly, I think we'll see a potentially great team held back by the QB.

Sparty has been dealing with injuries, but they've uncharacteristically don't have a good senior class. But they'll be ready for Michigan.

Michigan has the defense and special teams with peppers to hang with OSU. What concerns me is the oline and the inconsistency of Speight. Butt is extremely underused the last few weeks and Speight has been terrible with his accuracy.

Michigan could have thrashed wisconsin if he played a better game and Kenny Allen didn't suck so bad.

One thing for sure, that is one neck of a group of running backs.

Speight does have to improve his accuracy, but he's improving in the pocket and can extend plays

OL doesn't bug me as they're pretty good, but JBB is clearly a downgrade to Newsome (whose injury was significant)

I'm not sure that Butt is not being used as much as I think they have a lot of options to go with. It was interesting that Smith was pulled after he fumbled. Was it to send a message or to let Higdon and Evans get some playing time? They were playing Rutgers so it's not as if they needed his pass blocking which is his strong suit.

Karon Higdon is very impressive. I think Kareem Walker is going to have a tough time getting in front of him and Evans. Good to see Ty Isaac playing well. I much prefer him over Smith.

As for Sparty, don't think Michigan won't be sky high after what happened last year. When Bo was coaching and Michigan got upset or played poorly they would come out and unload on that team the following season. I see that same characteristic in Jimmy. He'll have that team sky high.
