Mike Lombardi: Dolphins want Ryan Tannehill over Flynn

This. Ireland graduated from the Bill Parcells school for ninja drafting. NO WAY this info got out this early. Not if it's true.

Watch how leading up to the draft we make a big showy public display of workout and interviewing Tannenhill several times before the draft...

Smokescreen for what?
Not that I disagree, but us playing up Tanneyhill to pump up his value does nothing for us except to motivate Seattle to trade ahead of us.
That is a pretty complicated strategy if all you want is to get BPA or Quentin Couples.

If we want Flynn then we will get him long before the draft happens. In fact if we simply want Flynn then we will know the answer to that question tommorow or at latest by the end of the week.

If we could just fast forward to late April and find out that we got Brandon Weeden that would be superb. This going round and round stuff is going to kill me.

So the Dolphins are locked down so tight that they get out of town and meet with Manning in Indy without anyone knowing, but somehow this news finds a way out?

I don't really see this as a bad thing. Philbin worked with Flynn for 4 years. Sherman had Tannehill as his QB for 2 years. Nobody knows more about these 2 QBs than our coaches. I have a feeling they know which one is truly better
clap clap clap. You wrote my thoughts on it, saved me time.

(--- I am on board the Weeden train. The way I see it is 9 years of outstanding QB play is better then 15 years of average QB play.

No, odds are he was following orders from the Dolphins.

This is how the game is played, nice to see Miami learning the game.

How bad is it that we have to pick the 3rd or 4th best QB if we want to draft him at 8 :(

I would trade down with any team willing to give us their first in 2012 and 2013. We could then trade both next year for Barkley.

Please trade back and get him. Might not happen, but making this guy a top 10 pick reminds me alot of Gabbert. I wonder what happens if someone leap frogs is to get him.

Dont believe anything you hear from anyone. I cant remember the last time there was so much misinformation about every topic.

I dunno if this report is true or merely another serving of the same speculative BS being upchucked so far throughout the Peyton Slow Waltz, but if it's accurate, what it tells me is that Sherman is a helluva lot more of a believer in the guy he knows best than is Philbin in his. And that's terrific since this is the advantage we have over some other teams in evaluating both these guys.

If we don't go the Flynn route and still end up Manningless, I'd hope everyone would apply some common sense and refrain from the gut reactionary Chicken Littling, Henny Pennying and Mary Contrarying over what an ineffective, awful regime and owner we have since clearly Joe Philbin did not want to hitch his HC career wagon to the QB with whom he is most familiar. End of story!

:hclap:

Where's the GD "thanks" button. It's needed more than ever on days like this. Days where Vaark is spinning grammatical elegance such as this little nugget deserve to be recognized dammit! 3 months into 2012 and already we have our FH quote of the year.
