Mike Lombardi: Dolphins want Ryan Tannehill over Flynn

If you've read my posts on Tannehill, you know I like him. But let me repeat this, something I've been saying since last year, if the GM/HC/OC all think that they can build an offense around a QB, I don't care what QB it is, you take him. The fact that Tannehill knows the offense is something as well.

I'm willing to put my trust in Philbin until he proves he doesn't deserve it, and honestly, I would rather us gamble with a rookie QB rather than another free agent.
 
Tannehill is your prototypical dip and dunk and dunk again - QB which is MEH with the 8th overall - even if we put the players around him to be successful like a friggin TE with the second overall
 
If you pick for a top 10 QB, his name better be Brandon Weeden...I´d rather have 6-8 years of a QB that is as accurate as him, than having Tanehill out of the league in 3...
 
I'm big on Kirk Cousins (from Michigan State). I'd really like to see the Dolphins pick him up.
 
The report in the OP makes me believe we're going after Flynn. That's just our front office's MO. Say one thing, do another. It's predictable at this point.
 
i just watched path to the draft and lombardi made no definitive statement that miami wants tannehill over flynn...mayock did however say that tannehill is not getting to #12...

Mayock really likes Tannehill, but he liked Gabbert last year too.
 
they asked if seattle could sit still at #12 and still get tannehill and mayock said flat out "no way"

THen that mean we'd have to trade up for him. No thanks, stick with Flynn if Manning doesn't work out tomorrow.

to be fair a lot of people loved Gabbert. People on this forum were pissed we didn't trade up for him. A lot of experts were convinced SanFran would draft him and were baffled when they took a project pass rusher in Aldon Smith. A lot of people felt he wasn't ready as well, but he was coveted by a lot of people.
 
This is what i've been saying for months, Flynn SUCKS!!! He looks awful and the Packers team made him look good for one game.

Philbin knows he sucks and he isn't going to go there, mark my words.

This. Ireland graduated from the Bill Parcells school for ninja drafting. NO WAY this info got out this early. Not if it's true.

Watch how leading up to the draft we make a big showy public display of workout and interviewing Tannenhill several times before the draft...
