Mike Munchak fired because he refused to make staff changes

I just have got the idea that management comes in says, "we like you...we want you to continue on, but just get rid of your OC. We know best"

Why are you paying that HC that supposedly is intelligent about football, but making him lose who he wants to coach with him.

Either fire the HC if you hate his choices or allow him to hire who he wants.

Here's a factor, IMO:

If Ross forces Joe Philbin to fire his assistants, what does that say about our organization? That could hurt our ability to hire a quality coach in the future.

This is why you don't mess around with half measures. Fire them all.

Forcing a head coach to fire his OC is the dumbest thing an owner could do. Who is that coach going to hire now that he has a lame duck situation on his hands. Remember the stupidity of keeping Sparano and replacing Henning with Daboll.

I just want this to be done what ever is going to happen just do it now like Nubz said.

I do not disagree with this. It is not like he has a track record to say otherwise. He would have to hire a big time FO type to run the organization that DOES have a track record.

Not wrong.

At this point, I just want some closure. Fire them all, keep them all, fire some and keep some, whatever it is just make the decision already. Stop dragging it out.

This. Some closure would be nice either way.

I do not think Daboll was awful, but I agree with you. You are not getting some of the OC's that people are starting threads with around here. Plus, Joe seems to be determined to hire people he has a relationship with. Because of his limited connections around the league, he does not have much to choice from.

Philbin needs to be fired along with Ireland and Sherman.
This team is in such disarray, terrible GM who is clueless on talent.
A HC who can't motivate and reads pep talks off of index cards. And a OC
who's play calling is absolute garbage. As long as these idiots are in charge this team
will always be mediocre.

the hardest thing for me to get over is the reports that Sherman was/is running the team. if this is true then Joe needs to go. How as a head coach with your job and reputation on the line at all times do you let the OC run the team? What does Joe do? just walk around telling people to tie their shoes and pick up trash in the locker room?

Joe needs to man up and take his job seriously instead of catering to his friends ...I get being loyal to friends and people who helped you out over the years but philbins job is to win, and he should be surrounding himself with people that will help him win not surround himself with crap just cuz he wants to be loyal.

I'll accept all of the staff back with no changes under one circumstance. Ross sells the team next year if we don't make the playoffs.

If that report is true, Joe should be fired. It should not be hard to figure that out from ownership's angle. It allows makes it laughable that he was hired in the first place.

This team would be further ahead with Mike McCoy, Mike Zimmer or Mike Pettine just to name a few.

I would be OK with giving philbin one more year WITHOUT SHERMAN but if that report is true that he was running the team then Joe should be fired immediately. He's the ****ing head coach and there is no excuse for Sherman to be running things. Sherman needs to go at all costs, I will be pissed if he not fired.

Fire the whole staff including gm or give them one more year to figure it out. Ultimately it starts with Ireland and runs downhill.

I honestly could live with philbin and Ireland for one more year but I draw the line at Sherman...you can't justify bringing him back at all.
