Mike Sherman and Rex Ryan have something in common

I bet a pork shoulder sandwich on rye and pumpernickel would be ok.

Don't be taken in by the salmonella sandwiches offered up by the visiting partisans. Steaming, heaping crap whether served on a stick, in a sandwich or as a souffle still stinks to high heaven. Just stand back and let us adults administer the reality doses, eh?

Man, I smoked a pork shoulder and a slab of spareribs yesterday. Did a coarse chop to the pork, dusted the meat with my rub and then added a little of my East Carolina vinegar sauce and mixed it all together. Turned out really well. Had a sandwich for lunch today. Really think its better the second day.

Sounds delicious. The vinegar sauce really adds some zing.
Does the coarse chop help with the cooking time?
I am pretty lazy when it comes to BBQ'ing...just slather on the sweet baby rays..

As I said, I get great entertainment reading these boards and the unhealthy obsession Dolphin fans have for the Jets.

I believe most Dolphin fans get more enjoyment out of the Jets losing then the Dolphins winning. Of course that can't be proven considering the Dolphins never win.

The sad part about being a Jets fan is the fact that other than one shinning moment in time the Jets have been irrelevant for their existence.

That's not obsession on my part, it's history on the Jets part.

and putting that "one shining moment" into contemporary perspective: it was a 10 team, 14 game, inferior talent, pre-merger AFL they rose out of and then an entire 2-game post-season, today's equivalent of a conference championship.

What does that make the Dolphins then? Considering the Jets have more AFCCG appearances in the last 15 years then the Dolphins have playoff wins.

Not all of the people here are like the ones you're referring to. There's an AFC East section on this site for a reason and my hope is that one day all of the threads that turn into Jets-related material will actually stay in it's appropriate section.

It's going to be difficult though considering the amount of new posters we have here who don't 'get it'.

The 70s and 80s are over, you guys haven't won a playoff game since 2000, you have been to postseason just twice since 2001, rex has 4 playoff wins in 3 seasons as Jets HC- Miami has 4 playoff wins combined since 1994

Why do dolphin fans continue to live in te 70s & 80s? great times for you I'm sure but it was a LONG time ago.

we know they don't have winning in common.

I agree:
Sherman: 5 consecutive winning seasons vs Fatso's 1 legitimate winning season without other teams taking knees
Sherman: 3 consecutive legitimate playoffs vs Fatso's 1 legit playoff entry without other teams taking knees
Sherman: 3 consecutive Divisional Titles (out of 6yrs) vs Fatso's 0 for 3 attempts

when you're right , you're right
