mike vick

Why does everyone think the offense was SOO much better with shaub?

He had one great game against a patriots team that was severly banged up in the secondary and now he is a great QB? His career completion percentage is 47% well it was with 2 games to go in the season and I doubt he got enough playing time to truely change that. He didnt improve in his second year either, his completion % has been at 47% both his years in the league

I dont think ANYONE could be a great QB with their recievers, anyone see the year Vick missed with injury? How did the Falcons do? They sucked, then he comes back and they are immediatly better
2 career starts playing in an offense that is not suited to his style whatsoever. he's played damn well when vick has been out.

matt schaub could start for a team somewhere. HOWEVER, mike vick forces teams to gameplan differently, and sets his team up to do better if he is unable to. he still managed to pass for 2400 yds and run for 600 more, AND he proved his critics wrong by focusing on the pass for a couple games a doing extremely well only to have his team lose. good call listening to the critics huh??? give me a break

only problem i think he has is fumbling, which is pretty easy to fix (see tiki barber)

He has a problem with fumbling and taking hits. He takes some of the worst hits I've seen. And when he gets tackled it's always awkward, like he turns into a rag doll and gets thrown around a lot. Unless he can start consistently passing better, I don't think he lasts very long.

I also agree he would be TONS better in a different system. Maybe even ours. We have a vertical offense that would be well suited to his game where he could scramble around and throw on the run while our recievers get open deep. I would LOVE to get Vick a chance here.

i agree. i like his aggressiveness to go for those couple extra yards, but if he fumbles the ball or gets hurt, he is not helping his team. i think with a little bit of coaching and a better system he would be an awesome player that few would talk crap about....

not the west coast. i mean the entire offense, while a based on the west coast, is built to michael vick's strengths, which are in fact not schaub's strengths. he's not getting the snaps in practice, either.
