Mike wallace is an a-hole

All is not forgotten for me - therefore, I'm out of this discussion.

Really? We all know that's why Ricky came back. He didn't come back for love of the game. He has the 8.6 mil plus child support to pay.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz:sleep:

regardless of what Mike Wallace said, the Dolphins should trade Ricky. I'm sick of hearing about that lazy waste of a talent!

Because that's something personal. Just like if Ricky was going through a hard divorce or something like that, you just don't bring it up. Remember when that reporter asked Belichick about his divorce? He got pissed off, and he had every right to be, that's no one's business but his own.
If everyone already knew how much money he has, there would not have been a need to say it on national television.

It's not personal when it is public knowledge. Wicky made this a public event when he made his opinions public as to why he quit football.

It's all fair game.

I expect him to not ask personal things such as finances.. I would never announce to my employees what each of them are making... nor would I ever want anyone announcing my annual earnings... or how much I have in my bank account... its personal and had no business being discussed in that press conference... it wasnt a one on one.. as in 60 minutes.. it was an end of the day PC that should have been about football related things.. and I dont find his personal bank account related at all to the days events.. M.W. turned the entire PC into a one on one which I think was tasteless as well..

Ricky never made the discussion of his personal finances public knowledge.. and him leaving the team never opened that door... I just think there a right way to go about things as a journalist and the approach was way off..

That's public knowledge because of the law suits Wicky has been through over the last year. It would have been irresponsible to not ask about something that was public knowledge.

His financial situation is no longer a private matter because of that.

I think you're wrong. Anyone can look up what players on the team are making, and i'm sure people know how much they're making compared to other players on the team. The Belicheck divorce comparision is also garbage, that's personal, and is not football related, while Ricky coming back to football quite possibly for the money is football related. It's not tasteless, and if he went about just asking the same garbage questions, than noone would even care who Mike Wallace was.

I despise the fact that he brought up rickys money in the latest PC...

completely tasteless..

Yeah I know man!! He should have just stuck to the facts. :shakeno:

Money is the root of all evil, and it drives every single one of us. Being that Ricky went from a multi millionaire, to a couple hundred thousandaire you should be happy that the rest of the league now knows he might want to stick around for a couple more years. His trade value might have just increased.

im just glad that there are people that believe that reporters dont have the right to ask whatever they want ...LMFAO... Thats thier jobs to ask those personal questions! No reporter worth spit would pass that up,when you become a superstar(reluctantly or not)you MUST expect certain things to be asked by the media .. you give up the a certain amount of privacy and answer asanine questions because you get paid an ungodly amount of money to play a god damned game!. Grow up and smell the reality.

as for the whole Ricky is just playing for the money deal...if he is playing for the money, than why did he turn down all these endorsements he was offered just recently? He could have made a whole ton more money than what his salary would dictate these deals, yet he turned every one of them down. He could've totally banked and been able to pay back the fins if that was the main motivation for him playing. So I've got to think it's not...

Go back to his own press conference. He admitted that he has a ton of bills, and 3 kids to feed. He said "so of course it had something to do with it".

He's never been one on endorcements.

Some of you seem a lot more upset about the press conference than Ricky did. I have not seen one thing from Ricky since he has been back that I can criticize. He knew he was going to be under a microscope when he returned and he has taken it all in stride and with a smile. He also pointed out in his first press conference of training camp his timetable to be completely ready to play is week 5 of the regular season. I can't wait to see what condition he is in at that time. So far so good, we'll see.
