Mike Wallace says refs don't give our WRs any calls

jump for what? The ball should be well in front of Wallace.. Im assuming he has the defender beat in most cases.. I don't think we should be putting Mike Wallace in any position to fight for a ball thats not his strength. Just like speed may not be landry's strength. You have to play to the guys strength. Its like asking tannehill to remain in the pocket... Why do that if we can maximize the efficiency on a play by rolling him out more frequently. If wallace is in a position to fight for a ball its either an under thrown ball or the defender is doing some kind of holding which was the case on that play at the bucs game. I have more of an issue with wallace dropping easy passes than expecting him to fight for the ball while in the air. the guy is not even 6 foot. Never heard anyone ask wes welker to fight for the ball in the air and wes welker was tougher than wallace. We just want him to do everything because of his salary but that doesn't change the player just accept that. it doesn't mean that he's not good. If we saw more deep plays being completed we wouldn't even be having this discussion because thats what we got him for.
 
its usually that stupid sideline route that they run where he always gets caught up or under thrown or over thrown.. thats a tough route to complete. Ive seen them motion wallace around where he's wide open in the middle of the field and tannehill completes that easy in practice. They are probably holding off on the special routes until reg season it seems. And only working on the basic route combinations for preseason.

That ball is underthrown. Seems like a more catchable ball for grimes than wallace.

If Wallace needs a perfectly thrown ball, I don't want him on the team. Expecting every completed long pass to be perfectly thrown is just ridiculous.

Mike Wallace is taller than Grimes, yet Grimes goes over him for the ball. That was a very well thrown ball but there is no chance for a completion because Wallace makes so little effort to catch it. Let's stop pretending that we are ask Wallace to do something that is unreasonable. Professional WRs do it every game.

notice the separation notice where the ball is landing...notice he's not slowing down to catch many if not any passes with ben rothlisberger throwing him the ball. notice the speed and the type of route ran.. So now he's here and everyone wants him to out jump and fight for the ball and rip the ball out of peoples hand.. sure...that would be great but if that is the case we are definitely using him wrong.. And yes i do expect tannehill to complete that pass at a higher percentage...and to be fair its been 2 preseason games and people are beefing over wallace fighting for the ball.. just relax and lets wait to see a few more games before we start saying he isn't playing like calvin johnson

Im thinking Pitt is quite glad that Wallace played hardball and they ended up keeping the better player in Brown
 
He does need to play but he is right. All the other team's WRs have to do is line up and our guys are getting called.
 
All these people bitchin' about Wallace. The man gets open deep. PERIOD.

Is anyone here really going to argue the fact that Tanny missed him for at least 200-300 yds and 4-5 TD's bc of poor throws deep?

Wallace would have had well over a 1000 yds receiving and double digit TD's if he was thrown to accurately on the long ball.

110 receptions 1500 yards 8 tds. Wallace has never even approached those numbers with exception if TDS.
Two straight very average seasons for Wallace. Wallace is basically a one trick pony that accepts no responsibility for his play.
Wallace is so damn overrated its a shame. He is a good wr that is getting paid like a great one. He had one amazing season in 2010 and has never been close to that good again.

I would argue that you are assuming he catches everything , which we all know he doesn't. No qb hits their wide receivers deep every time even manning.

You sound as ridiculous as WAllace. So why is every referee in the league biased against only us. Why is everyone trying to keep the dolphins down. There is not one logical explanation

Look, Tanny missed him at least 4 times when he was wide a$$ open. Yeah, I'll assume he catches those. He's pretty sure handed deep, you seem to refer to shorter routes which admittedly he doesn't catch as well.

Do you remember him dropping a nicely thrown bomb when he was in the clear?
