Mike Wallace's Sturggles are not on Mike Wallace

I'm inclined to believe in Mike Wallace's proven track record.

8+ Touchdown in 3 straight years. With longs of 56, 95, and 82.
And I would be too, if it hadn't been associated with a QB with a very unique style that caters to that sort of production by a 4.33 receiver.

Na that can't be.... it's the sun, the stars , the moon, El Nino, the Rapture, Haleys Comet,

One of my best friends is a big Steeler's fan and he warned me about Wallace and told me he would drop the ball pretty regularly and then he would become disinterested and dissapear once the ball stopped coming his way. He was right. We acquired a $60 million lemon from Pittsburgh....money that should have gone to fix our O-line and other areas.

Ginn has 357 yards and 2 TDs playing on a tiny contract

Wallace has 398 yards and 1 TD playing on a huge contract.

Wallace ****ing sucks.

From what I've seen the problem is that Mike Wallace just isn't a good fit for this offense.

I respectfully disagree, I have seen T-Hill hit him right in the hands more than a few times only for him to drop it. Ball placement could be better at times from Tannehill, but Mike Wallace has had his chance to contribute.

We could have acquired an old receiver like Randy Moss for less than a million dollars and gotten the same production that Wallace has given us this season. At least Moss uses his hands when catching the ball, even though he has probably lost 3-4 steps. Talk about flushing money down the crapper.

And Ginn isn't the focal point of the offense, in fact I'm not even sure he starts. He also offers something in the return game.

Until our line can give Tannehill more than 2 seconds to throw, Mr. Wallace is gonna have to resign himself to running AND CATCHING shorter passes.

Unfortunately, those are his weaker attributes (running good short routes, and catching a football that's got some mustard on it).

This. 100% correct.

How he's being used is one thing, but when your getting paid like he is you can't be dropping passes left and right when you are a receiver.

Mike Wallace tries to catch the ball against his body consistently. He tries to run under the ball and catch it in the bread basket like little kids on the playground. He never high points the ball and goes up for it. When he does have to make a catch with his hands he drops a high percentage of them. How this did not show up on a review of tape before handing out that contract is disturbing. This offense is not Big Ben buying time in some crazy way and heaving it down the field. They should have been smart and picked up Jennings. Another screw up by Ireland. It won't be easy to try and teach Wallace how to catch on the JUGS machine after you paid him 60 million dollars. Screwed!

This 100% He can't catch with his hands to save his life. He is only comfortable trapping it against his body. His drop on the patsies 4 yard line in the third quarter was the real turning point in the last game. Next play sack, followed by missed fg, followed by Patriots TD drive. Half the time he looks caught off guard when the ball arrives, like he is reacting at the last second.

Signing looks more like epic fail as each game goes by. Sure would love to be wrong, but not sure what can be done if the guy just can't make certain types of catches consistently and the line play does not permit slower developing routes and double moves.

Didn't he have 4 drops last game ? no excuses, he's a WR and gets paid to make them catches, doesn't matter short or long ones.

When the ball hits him in his hands....he should catch it.

He's dropped more balls than Sean Smith did Interceptions.

You got a pretty good point there but good coaches find a way to over come problems like this,if in fact what you say is true.

It's also hard to gauge with Wallace on the Phins because he's getting so few targets. But I can see what you're saying.I dont know why but I keep wondering why Wallace cant play more slot and throw a bigger receiver on the outside like Matthews from time to time.

IMO a lot of our problems keep pointing back to the coaches....
