Mike Zimmer and Mike McCoy

I thought I explained why I think he is good candidate throughout the thread. You can disagree with me, but I think I made my points in the first post...

BTW, I like Zimmer best of the candidates interviewed...but I do not think he will get the job in the end.

Don't blame me I wanted Billick from the start. McCoy intrigues me.

i definitely disagree with you...

Maybe Zimmer will get the job...I will believe it when he is in front of the podium and talks after a stammering Stephen Ross.

I am down to these two men as who I want for the next coach of the Miami Dolphins. I would have been pleased with Fisher and think Billick would have been an excellent fit. Be that as it may, neither veteran coach is coming. Therefore, I am down to these two assistants.

I have wanted the following in a coach...
* Create a professional environment
* Someone that can join the football and business side of the organization
* Someone that can give direction to the franchise
* Instill mental toughness
* Someone that understands the trends of the NFL
* Someone that will not blow the roster up
* HC or a coach on the staff that can develop QB's
* A HC that is articulate and can become the face of the franchise
* Ultimately, a leader of men
If we hire Zimmer this roster is getting blown up...on the defensive side of the ball at least. He will switch us to the 4-3.

Also Mike McCoy hasn't developed anybody at QB.

* We played some 4-3 during this season
* Some front 7 guys can already adjust to a 4-3
* Adding and dropping a few players to fit a good coach's philosophy is fine with me
* THIS GUY CAN COACH...I was one of the firsts around here to say it and I will continue to say that he the type a guy our downtrodden franchise can use right now.

The Fins have struggled getting respect and getting over the top...well, the same for Mike Zimmer...he is the type of person to do this job.

I think we could be a good 4-3 team if we can get another LB.

Burnett, Burfict, Dansby
Wake, Langford, Soliai, Odrick, Starks, Mcdaniel

sounds pretty beast to me

McCoy also had success in Carolina and Orton's best season was under his watch and McDaniels.

People need to research him more. I am sure many will start to like him in the coming days...

Don't get me wrong. I love your post and respect your research. However, last nights outing and performance against the Pats cannot speak well of Mccoy.

Not to mention you can only judge Mccoy as an oc in denver , he was not the oc in carolina.
