Conflict between players out in the open and more sensational by the day.
A story that keeps prompting fans and even players to attack particular parties, especially Martin. While I don't condone the way this came out, attacking Martin may help some of you to cope with all this, but it isn't productive to moving forward and focusing on what is left of the season.
Make no mistake, this is a black eye on the locker room, the coaches, the administration, and even the owner. And depending on how silly we want to be it can even be a black on us the fans.
At minimum, this is an embarrassing, low point for this franchise, and a terrible message to send on behalf of the league. It would not shock me if the rest of the league is privately pissed at the Dolphins for what these course of events will lead to in terms of action in the league.
Let us hope for some degree of mercy in this and to restore some element of integrity to this once proud organization. I find nothing funny, joke worthy, or exhilarating about any of this.
I insincerely hope for quick resolution, an end to all the damn source mess, a return to game day focus, and new leadership if necessary.
If I am talking about Ireland, Aponte, lawyers, sources, Omar Kelly, Armando etc. more than I am focused on the next game and watching the team get better... that is a definite sign this is a misguided mess.

Personally I don't see what the big deal is.

Had this happened anywhere else, it would not be news worthy. Its silly and it will not affect the team in any way.

Let them do their little investigation. Let the boys play football. Its nothing but a bump in the road. Its sites like this and the media that is making this much bigger than it should be.

What bothers me is the Martin camp leaking news out bit by bit. It seems to be a deliberate attempt to keep this in the news and humiliate the Dolphins. Pathetic, sad and juvenile in my opinion and may explain much of what's gone on here.

It's deliberate because it's not about just Ritchie anymore it's about attacking coaches for demoting him, Ireland for drafting him, fans for riding him for his poor play so they are swinging at everybody.

Pathetic family if you ask me.

This will end up being one the biggest issues in NFL history when its done, all because it will be handled in the general public....If the fins took care of business and handled this thing in house it would be a one yr distraction.....Ross has got to be sick to his stomach, he has the other owners furious at how they are now national news, next thing you know some senator will start asking the questions about the leagues favored tax status...Ross is busting his butt trying to get fans to the stadium and now this..This is a mess up of epic proportions...

That is what it is, his father is a slimey, spineless litigator.

This is how certain people make a living, doing exactly what they are doing with this case.

It doesn't really seem like Martin is even involved in what is happening because he has texted Incognito since he left
and those texts are completely innocuous.

The NFL AND the Players Union should both file lawsuits for slander against Martin.

How do you handle it in house when Martin and his family made it public?

Its called winning the war.....Once Martin left the team and his agent got the response he did from Ireland....it was on.....once you go down this road there no return....and frankly I don't blame Martin family one bit....they are protecting there son as they should.....

When Martin complained about Cog's they did nothing, they made Cog's a team leader, they knew Martin was weird but never had him evaluated by a professional, especially after he lost his starting job....and most importantly you knew he was soft and you pencil him to be your starting LT? You have a possible franchise QB and you protect his blind side with this guy? they should have paid Jake the money or paid the Chiefs the money for the trade...you don't go into a important season with a mentally weak LT as the starter with no other options.....

So, you think maybe they didn't think he was 'mentally weak'???????????????????

Didn't he start every game since they drafted him?

He didn't have any problems until right after McKinnie was brough in and he was moved back to the right side.

That's just it he never complained until the Sunday night after he quit the team. He notified Philbin through a lawyer that he had been bullied.

Listen to Tannehill's comments no one knew what was going on until he left the team.

All I know is next season this team is going to be totally different from top to bottom, but hope they keep their core players.

This would be a big deal with any team.

He had all kinds of problems before that according to the reports. When you hear the players talk about him I scratch my head and say this is the guy you hung your season on? Couldn't look his teammates in the eye, you have to send a guy to toughen him up, not showing up for volunteer OTA as your being moved to the most important position on the line and arguably the 2nd most important position on the team....introvert...sounds like someone beat him up.....

I do agree with you that losing his position was the final nail that sent him over the edge.....

Time will tell if this is true.....I think when the whole story is out there we will see some folks dropped the ball....I'm not saying the players who came forward Wed night are not telling the truth, I'm saying there are a lot of players not saying anything.....Pouncey from the free Hernandez hat is awful quiet....Starks, Oderick just to name a few.....
