Missed Opportunity to Improve #7000

so hiring a big fat overwieght undermotivated RT seems obvious to you?

Well now that you put it like that I see your point...
Cmon dude, NOT drafting Pat White was obvious to me - you can go back nd pull up any of my old posts about it - I don't lie. I guess I do know better than Ireland, huh?
I'm kidding obviously but my real point is that I'm trusting Newsome's actions over Ireland's and I don't think that any objective NFL fan would disagree with me for that.

I guess I'll be the one to remind you that Bill Parcells drafted Pat White, not Ireland.

i thought mckennie could have helped if he was motivated
but if the reports are true that he is 400 pounds
and not working out enough then he would let henne get sacked
and be too slow

we can say "oh they should've brought this guy in or that guy, I bet he'd make a great player for us! but honestly, not everyone wants to come and play for us, we don't know if our people talked to his people, we don't know if he responded etc. I do know that a 400lb unmotivated lineman would not survive the next month in miami. Heck maybe he signed in baltimore because the weather is cooler this time of the year. Or maybe he sees them as being more championship ready?

Really tired of this stupid bull**** about how I don't know what I'm talking about somehow because I don't work as an NFL executive. No ****, Sherlock, neither do you, but you know who does?? Ozzie ****ing Newsome! And he has more evaluation skills in his pinky toe than Jeff Ireland has in his entire limited brain. I guess he doesn't know what he's talking about either, huh? Calling your argument childish is an insult to children.
How about everytime you want to bust out your pom poms for this bull**** regime whenever they draft or sign a 3-4 DE or a wildcat quarterback, I come out and scream "HOW THE **** DO YOOOUU KNOW IT WAS A GOOD MOVE??? LAST TIME I CHECKED YOU AREN'T A GM YA JACKASS!!!"
This **** goes both ways and to be honest, being on the "negative" side of this franchise allows me to either be right, or pleasantly suprised 100% of the time. Why else would I do it, other than to not get let down. Sure, its taxing to always look through **** colored glasses, but whatever bro, at least im never dissappointed!

fixed.

I never said the LJ signing was a bad signing. I actually said that it isn't that big of a deal because I don't think it makes much of an impact one way or another. What I did say is that it reflects poorly on Daniel Thomas at this point in his development, the staff must not have much faith in the guy right now.
Mckinnie would have been a good signing because he would come cheap, he's obviously talented and we have tremendous needs where he would fit in... I think he would shed weight pretty damn quick in camp down in Miami as well.
It's also much much easier for an o-lineman to play deep into his 30s than it is for a RB. Don't understand why there's confusion with this.

The team broke camp on Friday...Training camp for the 2011 season is done.

:bobdole: Ireland is the GM so he's guilty too.

No need to facepalm a simple statement. Also, from what I recall, Ireland didn't have final say at the time. If it was solely Parcells' choice, how can Ireland be blamed for Pat White?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not being an Ireland apologist. I just think if you're going to criticize him, one needs to find a better example than Pat White. And to be clear, there are many examples.

Ozzie's a great GM, but to ascribe to him savant-like qualities is off base unless you consider guys like Terrence Cody, Yamon Figurs, and Sergio Kindle recent draft successes.... and think that vs the Jest we've got a leg up on coaching since he hired a position coach instead of promoting his DC, Rex Ryan, and on defending the pass, since he kicked Mason to the curb. Can't wait to manhandle the jest based on Ozzie's indirect recommendations!

You might not have. 564 others have. But you're using the same logic with McKinnie that others are with Johnson. People like to say "Well if he was so good then why was he available?" Sometimes this is a viable question depending on who we're talking about. With McKinnie, his fat *** needs to pass a physical before he actually can play. If he does, isn't guaranteed to start.

I view McKinnie as I do the Johnson signing. Pick a guy up who's been cast aside, see if he can do anything for you, and either reap the benefits or kick his *** to the curb.

This **** goes both ways and to be honest, being on the "negative" side of this franchise's boneheaded decisions for the last ****ing decade, I've UNFORTUNATELY been right WAY more often than not! I'm not the one that needs to eat crow!

This site makes it seem like every other front office knows what it's doing but the Dolphins brass are made up of homeless stooges with no clue.
