Missed Tackles & Grimes

Grimes shouldn't be relied on to make tackles that our LB's should have made. I thought Grimes played his ass off and was getting in on tackles that other CB's would have still been near the sidelines.

Grimes is a pretty good tackler for his size. I know he's missed some this year but that not normal for him. He's been solid in his tackling. And he is hardly overrated, especially considering he isnt a top paid CB.

Reshad Jones should help a little along with misi. Both are good tacklers.

Wilson's tackling was laughable vs. the chiefs. Go back and watch it, we need Jones.

Grimes is a baller, giving up several inches on every match up. He's not the problem. Yes he could tackle better but rarely gives up long ball.

Grimes is probably the most clinical db in the league his hip movement and technique is great. He was commented on by numerous of is peers of being one of the dbs that the new rules wouldn't negatively effect. To say he's anything less than stellar is a joke.

Grimes is usually a pretty good tackler for a small guy. I'm giving him a pass. Finnegan quit on Kelce TD. That was worse.

The only thing I don't like about Grimes is his disgusting, ugly, trashy, no class pig face wife. She's a brute and I hate that she's in the stands making a fool of herself. She's an embarrassment. I don't think she's funny or cool. She's just a classless pig that wears lipstick. I wonder what some of you guys see in her. I would hate to be sitting next to her in the stands.

Grimes has been a pretty weak tackler at times and PFF probably has it right, but there is a huge difference between his missed tackles and a guy like Jimmy Wilson. Grimes is 100 percent max effort until the whistle, he sometimes just gets juked or misses a tackle due to bad position. Jimmy Wilson misses tackles because he refuses to wrap up even when he is the last line of defense and instead just dives at a player's feet or knees. You could make an entire "highlight" video of Jimmy Wilson diving and missing and players going 30-40 yards. Half-hearted tackling and missing is inexcusable, especially when it is a patter. You'll see missed tackles from Grimes but you won't see the same one twice.

Through the first 3 games, I have to say there is a drop off in Grimes play. He has not been close to an int, and his tackling has been poor. Difference between a man playing for a pay day and one who was signed to a "long term" deal.

He forced a fumble late in the game. Grimes gives great effort and isn't afraid to hit someone even though he is the smallest guy on the field. Grimes is good!

Which of our guys really have been close to an INT? I haven't seen any of the three QB's we've made make bad decisions, and what people have to realize is in Kevin Coyle's scheme if we do not get pressure, there are going to be guys wide open over the middle so QB's don't have to force the ball anywhere. None of our CB's have really been challenged because it is completely uneccessary.

Grimes is just small. Sometimes he simply can't take the guy down...but he's a good player and I have no issue with his overall play.

Brent Grimes is suspended. The guy wearing his jersey; missing tackles, allowing completions and touch downs and bouncing off receivers is a bum and not the same player as we saw last season.

Brent is either suspended or is being blackmailed... not sure which.
