Mondays game very important...do you agree?

There are a lot of things I want to see. However it is something that is hard to look too much into. Miami might play a little harder than Chicago because most of Miami's spots are not taken. Plus they are playing in a new scheme and want to go all out on it. There is a good chance that Miami might look very good, but that is only because the "starters" of Miami has more to play for than the "starters" of Chicago.
 
its only a damn preseason game i just none of our starters get injured trying to play their hearts out like you think they will...this PRESEASON does not let us know where we stand ...thats ridiculous...so you think if we lose to da Bears that will mean we are the worst team in the NFL?...cuz Chicago is not the best team...they drafted 4th...If we lose we lose its a...i cant stress this enough....PRESEASON GAME...it will be fun to watch so enjoy. GO DOLPHINS!

Dont be silly...I think everyone realizes that this is just a pre season game. I just think it would be nice to start everything off in a positive way. I guess if nobody gets hurt..thats a positive. The quicker we put last season behind us..the better.
 
I think it's only important to the coaches. To see where the players stand, what mistakes need correcting, etc. The score means absolutely nothing to them.

I imagine from the players standpoint, those that are left from last year, its of mental importance. But for those that are new, its nothing other then a chance to prove and improve themselves.
 
it matters on two levels.

one, because it would be really crappy to get our pants beat off of us in the game that is supposed to commemorate Dan Marino, the all time greatest Dolphin ever. and since he is the only reason we're even playing in this game....lets at least put up a good show.

and two, this is Sabans first official NFL game, yes its preseason, but it is still an NFL game, he wants to make an impression. I would look to see a fairly conservative offense, but with some flashes of flair here and there. expect to see a lot of guys like Kay Jay Harris, and Shirdonya Mitchell who are fighting for roster spots, but dont be suprised if a vet such as Eddie Moore gets some decent playing time.
 
It wont be huge, but I really want to see the O and D line play along with all the rookies. I look forward to it. Anybody know if this will be on ESPN so everybody can watch it?? Also which Monday?
 
I don't think Saban will allow it to mean anything. If everyone plays really well and we look spectacular, we were playing the Bears, and it's preseason. If we stink the joint out and we look like we did lastyear, we're installing a new scheme and it's preseason.


Basically it's preseason and I couldn't see Saban letting this affect the mentality of his team.
 
Preseason is meaningless. Seeing how rookies play along with AJ will be nice but at the same time preseason doesnt mean anything. I also doubt Saban will be releasing any major suprises since you dont want to use those for teams to catch on when it counts.
 
While it's really no more important than any other preseason game, participating did allow us to start up camp a week early which seems very important with a new coach and new systems on both offense and defense.

As for Monday, it would be great to see us come out and play well. We were disorganized and struggled with mental mistakes far too often the last several years. If we can execute well and avoid mental errors I would be happy. It's also a good test to play/ practice against another team to see where you stand talent-wise. There are lots of position battles going on so alot of guys need to come out and make an impression to hold onto jobs or stay in contention for roster spots. I'm curious to see our o-line and secondary in action since nothing appears set in those areas.

I thought that Shirdonya Mitchell was sitting this year out.

I don't think you'll see S. Mitchell or Moore..Mitchell isn't active, he's recovering from a injury, eddie hasn't been cleared to practice, they're trying to clear him this week.. I think the only important thing in this game is for the team to execute what they've learned so far..show consistency and finish the plays with the attitude Saban's been trying to instill. Other than that, score, gameplan, and who's playing is a mute point.
 
I predict if you guys have a good game there will be 100 superbowl here we come threads followed by 100 sig changes to whoever had a big play in that game.

I predict if you guys lose there will be 100 the sky is falling threads.
