Anyone know if Moore has ever worked in the west coast offense? Who knows, he might jell in this type of system. Philbin did wonders with a 7th round draft named Flynn. Maybe he can do the same for Moore.
Philbin had 4 years to work wonders with a 7th round pick.
Moore has never worked in the WCO and I'm not sure how good he'll be. He's not the most accurate passer, his ball placement isn't all that great, especially on the crossing routes.

Moore came from a NFL offense that was employed by Riley and OSU. I do not think he has ever been in a WCO. His accuracy was not that bad this year and he finished the year with an 87.1 passer rating. That is better or as good as most of the QBs in league. I think he should, at the least, be given a shot at it before anyone complete dismisses him. Flynn, if we bring him in, is going to have the advantage since he has been playing in that system for the last 5yrs. It sets up a great oppurtunity for a QB battle in TC. I just don't want what happens in so may cases in this league, the coach goes with a player because he is more familiar with him. For example, I knew a guy that got drafted by KC and was subsequently traded to the Seahawks. He was a 7th rd pick out of Praire View. He said he went to training camp and did not matter what he did in practice, there was no way he was getting on the field as long as Van McElroy was playing for Tom Flores. He never got the oppurtunity to prove himself in game action and, being a 7th rd pick, was out of the league in 3yrs. I just want a fair competition. I hope we get one.Philbin had 4 years to work wonders with a 7th round pick.
