Don´t mess with Clint
when they showed the lineups yesterday and oakland LB corps was introduced i was like.....what ???
Actually the fact is they both have won a combine 8-5 (61%) as a starter, NO SPIN. Seems like you left out 2 other Fins wins...nyjunc said:however you want to spin it is fine but they led their teams to victory in 9 of 12 meetings so that's pretty good.

The fact of the matter is that Booker and Boston haven't produced for 2 strait years and Chambers has barely been better than Porter. I'd love to see Chambers blow up...he's my favorite player, but he's been no better than Porter, and our other two receivers haven't done jack since 02.

Brady has 6-3 record (66%): 130 comp, 231 att (56%), 1,348 yds (5.84 YPA), 11 TDs, 8 INTs, and a QBR of 74.7% against MIA...
Chad has 2-2 record (50%), and fared better than Brady in performance: 53 comp, 98 att (54% ), 720 yds (7.35 YPA), 4 TDs, 1 INT, and a QBR of 87% against MIA...
TorontoFin said:WTF, you talking about? You're logic is almost Orwellian. You can't use Coles' first year because CC didn't play. If you want a true comparison, just stack them for each year they played in the same leauge. How the F, is he a more productive player, with 9 less TDs, and only a couple hundred yards more a year?

And if you noticed, he didn't respond when I brought up the fact that Miami is 3-1 vs the JETS when Mr Williams is in the backfield.
nyjunc said:TDs are great but Coles much higher numner of receptions and much higher number of yards put the Jets and skins in better position to score so setting up a TD is just as important to me and he has done that alot more than Chambers. Chambers isn't even in the discussion w/ coles, he is in the discussion w/ Santana not Coles.
Brady was 1-1 against mia in '01 & '02 and has gone 2-0 each of the last 2 seasons so that makes him 6-2.
Chad was 1-0 against Miami in 2002, 0-1 in 2003 and 2-0 in 2004- that makes him 3-1. he did not play in the 1st Miami game in '02 or '03.
I hadn't responded to anything as I wasn't on my computer last night :D That is true you are 3-1 w/ ricky so there is nothing to dispute.
FinSolari said:Your forgot that monday nighter game so that makes Brady 6-3
Schleprock said:Watching the Oak/NE game last night in its entirety made me wonder even more just how biased, ignorant, clueless, or homer-esque these so called "experts" are on all the NFL columns and TV programs. I won't even go into the fact that at one point when they showed Kraft in his private box you could see Berman, S. Young, et al from ESPN sitting RIGHT BEHIND HIM!!! Bias much???
Anyhow, "experts" have been saying all offseason how wonderful Oakland has done with building up their offense, adding talent, etc. They have touched on the defense being questionable, but only very lightly and tend to focus more on Moss and Jordan, etc. After watching last night I have to say: How the hell is Oakland any better than us???? How can Sean Dingleburry NOT say the same asinine comment about winning 4 games in relation to them?? Seriously, I have evaluated this from a non-homer perspective before typing this post in order to be fair. This team isn't better than us on the field...or even on paper!! Yet they get all this love. We know why though, because of Randy Moss and the Raider name, but anyway, here's my reasoning.
QB: Collins and Frerotte are even. Both are vets, who CAN throw, read D's, manage a game...BUT, they seem to be either on their game, or really off and aren't consistent. Collins is not better than Gus, and vice versa. PUSH
* No way... advantage Collins in this one!!! Gus wouldn't be a starter on 30 other NFL teams. He would have a chance to start in Chicago but Orton likely would beat him out. Balt could use him. That's about it!*
RB: Jordan is a nice back, however, Ricky and Ronnie I think is easily the better choice. MIAMI
* Tough call. Ricky hasn't played in a year but is proven. Ronnie Brown while talented is unproven. Jordan is somewhat proven, but still needs to show he's able to produce as the man. If depth is the question it goes Miami. However, I think Jordan has the advantage until proven other wise.
FB: Who cares, neither hardly use one. PUSH
I'll drink that cool-aid.
WR: Moss, Porter, Curry, Whitted compared to Chambers, Booker, DBo, Welker. Moss is great but not enough to cover the rest. Curry = 1yr wonder so far and Porter is always underachieving!! As a group across the board; MIAMI
That is perhaps the most homerist conclusion you could ever come to. Miami has the advantage over Oakland in WR's??? COME ON!!! You're clueless... worse than clueless, you're a nimrod!
TE: Not even close; MIAMI
You got one right... but I'm willing to bet Oakland's TE's will have better TD #'s. Mainly b/c they have a better QB and better OL!
OL: After watching Oakland last night, their O-line plays just like ours. A couple good plays then a bunch of garbage, then back to a couple good. Gallery looked unimpressive, L.Walker was horrendous, Grove was OK, Sims was solid. They could run the ball, but their pass blocking was pooh. IMO the teams are a PUSH
Wrong!!! The Pats had what 2 sacks and 4 hurries. Hardly anything considering the Pats are year in and year out great defensively! This is more a reflection of how poor the Phins line is than the Faids line being good. Advantage Oakland for sure!!!
DL: Kelly, Sapp (way past hsi prime, it wasn't the move to DE last year!!), Washington (old but solid), Hamilton, Burgess, etc. None of these guys could get any pressure, played good run D though. However; Taylor, Carter, Traylor, Holliday, Zgonina, Bowens, Roth are much more talented, experienced and deeper. MIAMI
You better go Miami all the way through the Defense!!! The only area the Faids come close to matching up is the DL. Sapp and Washington are a lot better than Traylor and Holliday.... A LOT BETTER! But your DE's are so much better than the Faids that you still get the advantage!
LB: Not even close, the Raiders have no one even as good as Crowder for Chrissakes MIAMI * True!*
CB: Woodson and Madison are even. Nnamdi is a nickel corner AT BEST so I would give the edge to Howard/Daniels. Routt was a "Jerry Wilson" at nickel so I give us the edge again for the Howard/Daniels at that spot. Where was Fabian Washington besides me seeing him sitting on the bench?? MIAMI *True...and Washington has been less than impressive!*
S: Schweigert looked inexperienced and confused, Derrick Gibson looked like perhaps the worst player on the field. Missing tackles and can't cover. Our safety position is still learning, but I feel confident Schulters/Jones/Bell have more potential than the Raiders group!! MIAMI *Gibson has been horrible since being drafted. Schweigert is better than most give him credit for... still the advantage goes to Miami.*
K: Both are good and tend to miss the gimme once in awhile PUSH
P: Lechler by a longshot RAIDERS *I would have laughed my *** off if you said Miami in this one. Lechler could go down as the best ever!!!*
COACHING STAFF: I cannot even name the Def and Off. coordinators and I know I saw them visually last night. Add to that Norv Turner has always been an underachieving head coach and the fact everyone aside from Dolphin people even admits our NEW coaching staff is top notch, this is simple MIAMI
PUSH!!! Norv Turner is proven. Nick Saban is still learning. It works downhill from there. This could very easily turn to Saban's favor, but he'll have to show the world something first!
Miami = 8
Raiders = 1
Evens = 4
So, am I a crackhead or on par?
Schleprock said:So, anyone wanna change their mind? My thoughts were Gus is at least an EQUALLY capable quarterback as Collins....and that our WR corps AS A WHOLE edges out their WR corp as a whole.
