Is it just me, or does it seem like the Dolphin's staff doesn't do their due dilegence when bringing in guys from other teams. We seem to get a lot of lemons and guys who are damaged goods. We need more than Lamar Miller, if we are going to give opposing defenses something to worry about, in terms of our running game. Hopefully it is something that won't keep Knowshown from missing a good deal of the season, or risk him getting cut. :rolleyes2:

Saw this on twitter:

Talked to a source who has seen Knowshon Moreno's knee. Said it's "bad." Prob will play, but the issue is how long.

Let's hope Cole's sources are bad.

It's a shame our idiot former GM Jeff Ireland decided to part ways with Reggie Bush. Bush would be the perfect back in Lazor's hurry up offense. But this organization has a long history of questionable moves.

Missing any practice time at all is a problem for a new player, new team, and new O. Hopefully he can get over this quickly, and be a factor for our team in running and receiving. His blocking does not matter.

Does Miami have a medical staff and if they do why haven't they been fired? This is about the 10,000th time something like this has happened.

Arthroscopic surgery is nothing. He will be fine in a month.

i'm expecting an underwhelming return here now...morenos game was never sudden or explosive really to begin with...this can't much help that or his conditioning

I'll reserve full judgement until I hear what the actual injury is, but good to see our tendency to bring in injured players continues.

Fortunately the guy is a bum anyway and this allows the better RB (Miller) to be on the field.

Not good the dolphins need to find someone :badmood::badmood:

It sounds like it would just be a clean up procedure, probably something with the meniscus. Which is definitely a minor procedure.

When I was a senior in high school I tore my meniscus while running on a sand bar on the Missouri River. When I went to the doctor he told me when can either remove what was torn off or sew it back together. This was back in 1996. The recovery time was quite dramatic between the two. To just remove the portion that was torn I would be back to running cross county and playing football within a couple weeks. To sew it back together the recover time would have been 4-6 months. Being that it was my senior season and I had scholarships on the line, and knowing that I would have arthritis due to the removal, I still said lets take it out. I started at FS for my high school team 9 days after the surgery and then ran a cross county race the next day.

I have no doubt that if it is a simple clean out procedure that Moreno will be ready for training camp.
I hope that you are right but you never know what the orthopaedic surgeon will find until he takes a look. It now seems like we have been fed a BS diet from Joe for several weeks re Knowshon and he has been nursed along when there was an issue all along. After he had such a good season for Denver last year, it is still surprising that they didn't pick him up at relatively low cost as insurance for Montee Ball. Also interesting that while Albert and Finnegan have been pretty accessible to the media, we haven't seen much of Knowshon.
