Mort: Ross, Ireland, Peterson all have diff ideas about coach

I think it is funny that after so many "experts" (Shefter, Mort, etc.) have gotten so much wrong (Harbaugh will be the next Dolphins coach, 80/20 that Fisher chooses the Dolphins, Buzz picking up that it is Mike Zimmer) that people believe anything that they report. It is pure entertainment. Who do you think is leaking this stuff? Ireland isn't. Ross isn't. So unless we think that Carl Peterson is leaking this, since they are the only 3 in the room, it is pure BS!

Sorry that you weren't able to read my sarcasm lol. I was poking fun at the fact there's an advisor helping this deeply. Ross should make Peterson President or get him out of the equation.

Peterson works for Ross in another capacity for another one of his companies.

Much as I dislike Peterson, it is a very good thing that Ross is using him otherwise this would be a full blown train wreck.

I think it is very important for Ross to have a football mind in Peterson to advise him on football matters. I may not be a Peterson fan but Ross needs football knowledge around him

Bowles isn't even a good position coach...just look at his stats for our secondary the past 4 years

actually if this is true then we should widen our search... if they are not sold on the guys they are talking to right now then talk to more people.... there are others out there who are qualified
 
I swear the media got sick of not getting any info out of the tight lipped Ireland and Ross that they have just started making stuff up to make them seem like clowns.
 
While I agree with this report regarding expanding the search, I question the validity of it considering a prior report by a local reporter about Ross and Billick having issue's.

I dont believe much of what I read these days, or hear for that matter, if Carl Peterson is "advising" Ross & was suggesting expanding the search to consider Shottenhiemer
I think Ross would out of respect to his friend listen to Peterson and interview Marty, to me it seems to be more media speculation or simply put an attempt to make this franchise seem like they dont know what they want.

Im certain they have a strong feeling on what they want its a matter of giving each remaining candidate his due respect, my gut says McCoy.

I would take Shottenheimer in a heartbeat over the other three finalist. They need to expand the search and interview more people. Why isn't Carmichael being interviewed?
