Mortensen & Schefter both represented by Manning's agency CAA

After some researching I have found out that Mortensen & Schefter are both reprensented by Manning's agency CAA. It explains why they have had so much inside information on Manning dating back to when he was with the Colts. Two things we can draw from this. 1.) They could be saying the truth about alot of things regarding Manning. 2.) You are very naive if you don't think that in between the news Mort & Schef tweet there are little lies here and there to give CAA leverage in contract negotiations.

Just thought it was something that needed reporting and thank PFT for making the comment who led me to my research.

An interesting theory but I am not sure that both would jeopardize their integrity and reputation intentionally. Now I could see both being manipulated by the Manning's and CAA. Regardless, I am almost at the point where I would rather he go elsewhere so we don't have to put up with this circus any longer.
 
And what would be the purpose of that? What does Mort and Schefter get out of it? My head is about ready to explode from all these conspiracy theories. I think we ALL need this to be over, for our own mental health if nothing else.

Plenty of Free Agent news, CAA represents a large majority of NFL players. Tom Condon & Jimmy Sexton are of the best in the business.
 
Not saying all news being given by CAA to Mort & Schef is false, but they could throw their little lie here & there for CAA's leverage. It is no secret of how interested Ross is in Manning, so you have to believe Condon is going to try to get the most out of him. Like I said earlier, expect Ross to overpay for Manning if he lands him. As much as people say it is not about the money, it is.

Why have Mort & Schef not mentioned the fact Tebow is represented by CAA or that the conditions at Mile High are horrible for Peyton's injury. It finally makes perfect sense to me why everytime Irsay would say something negative about Peyton, Mort would immediately report the opposite. Why do you think the 49ers were out of the Manning race so fast, because they are trying to resign Alex Smith. Guess what agency represents Smith, CAA.

What integrity do they have? I don't think anyone is so naive to not understand they say what they are told to say, at all times.

The only thing Mort and Schefter have is their reputation. While they have misinformed us in the past, I dont believe they knowingly provided us with false information so that their agent might get a little leverage, which neither Moret or Schefter would directly benefit from. When your stake to fame is your credibility, I dont think they would risk it to make someone else a little extra money.

it is for CAA, but i dont think it for manning. he will make the ultimate decision. i dont blame CAA for doing some behind the scenes manipulating, its good for their business financially.

doesnt make since for CAA to have manning go to the broncos. that would put tebow in very bad situation. im sure CAA thinks tebow is one of their better up and coming financial clients not good to have him on the bench or unemployed.
