most impressive???

Damn it's hard to say whats most impressive. The Defense was outstanding, but, I expected them to be.

Wes was great, but, he did fumble, and I expected him to do very well.

Saban did what I expected him to do.

So, I will give props to the two areas I had as the major question marks. The Blocking schemes (OL, TE, RB) and the QB play. They were the most impressive. No sacks given up (I believe) and Gus' played awesome.

If the blocking continues like that, it will give Gus more confidence and limit his mistakes. He plays poorly under pressure (as many QBs do) however, he plays pretty well when given time to throw and good receivers.

I really don't know what I was more impressed with. I think however Saban held back ALOT in pre-season. He was merely playing possum.

There were lots of things to be impressed with .. but was great seeing Plummer with his hands to his ear holes in his helmet trying to hear the play coming in.

KUDOS to all of you at the game. Wish I could of been there with you losing my voice as well.

I think the thing that most impressed me was Booker. We expected Chambers and Randy to do good, but Booker looked really solid. Not counting the big play, he still had a few good catches that it seems like he would have missed last year.

Yeah... There were (probably still are) alot of people on this board that wanted Booker traded or cut! :shakeno: But this guy is solid and just finds ways to get open! People here clamoring that he's an average possession receiver that too slow... Well he showed some pretty good speed on that 50+ yard run after the catch didn't he?? Don't be surprised if he outperforms Chambers this season!!!
