I know there were plays that meant more to the team's success, but nothing, absolutely nothing is as memorable for me as Leon Lett's blunder and the ensuing recovery in that game. Maybe because it was Thanksgiving, maybe because it was so absurd. Probablly both.

Those are truly awesome plays and immediately came to mind.

Another one I haven't seen mentioned was the Thanksgiving day Leon Lett play. Lett was clueless about the rules while several Dolphins huddled around the flopping ball just hoping some unprepared Cowboy would touch it. Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones were starting to head over and pay their respects ... and all of a sudden, we snatched victory from the jaws of defeat on a snowy Dallas field in front of a national television audience. That was a nice Thanksgiving.

I was on a two week notice at work and this game was played on the Sunday before I was to start my new job.
I had bet a guy at work a nice amount of money.
My parents were here with my wife and my kids and it was as exciting as it could get. I was over joyed they won and I won the bet.
I went back to the old job on Monday to collect and could not find the guy.
So, I left a note on his car with my mailing address and phone number so he could pay me.
I never saw one cent from that piece of ****.

The OP asks for the most memorable so I'm going in another direction....I'll never forget Bob Griese 's broken leg in the 5th game of the undefeated season against San Diego. I was in the stands and I can tell you it was unbelievable how people reacted. It was so quiet and some were crying. With so much to cheer about and look forward to that year, most thought it was over. The Fins proved us wrong.

Anybody mention AJ Duhe's pick 6 in the mudd against the Jets to clinch the AFC Championship in 1982?

The most famous play in Dolphin history almost without a doubt has to be Marino's fake spike in '94 against the NYJ. You don't really hear about much else in regards to historic Miami Dolphin plays, that one definitely gets the most attention.

How about Marino's pass ricocheting off Dan Hampton's helmet into the hands of Mark Clayton, who goes 42 yards for a touchdown in the only defeat of the Bears in '85.

Nat Moore helicopter and the hook and lateral to Nathan are the best to me. Maybe the Czonka roughing the tackler?

The helicopter and fake spike will always be my favorites.

The moments might not have been as big as some of the others, but I would put Orande Gadsden's one hand catches against the Raiders and Jets very high on my list.

This one

Oh man do I remember that. The ups and down of that game had me at one of the highest emotional rollercoaster ride I have ever..ever had.

I called the Hook and Ladder a couple of times in games and it worked - just didn't go for a TD like I needed them to... :(

Hands Down - play of the franchise!

The helicopter and fake spike will always be my favorites.

for those that don't remember it

One of my favorites as well.

Supposedly Shula had the field watered down to slow the potent NY offense.

Check out who posted this on U Tube. Finheaven member Awsi Dodger.

Thanks. I had some other Dolphin videos on my channel, including the entire game vs. the Bears in 1985.

The NFL is frankly a pain in the butt in regard to YouTube. They throw out copyright claims seemingly at random. I was forced to remove those 1985 videos as well as many others. I now have two copyright strikes thanks solely to the NFL. At three claims the channel is closed. It's very likely that I will soon remove the Duhe video as well as anything else even vaguely related to the NFL. I have more than 280 videos up there and don't want to risk everything solely due to NFL tantrums. I have made copies of all the videos and now I'm in the process of copying the descriptions and tags.

One of the copyright strikes was due to an Archie Manning video in the Sugar Bowl. He wasn't even in the NFL at that point yet somehow the league dropped a strike on me due to a short video with a few highlight plays of Archie during his college career. Lots of Ole Miss fans were happy to see that video and commented positively below the video. It was no threat to the NFL yet they found reason to complain. I'll certainly never upload anything related to the NFL again.

Anyway, my nomination as most significant play in franchise history would be the deep crossing pattern from Morrall to Warfield during the 4th quarter of the playoff game against the Browns in 1972. It produced roughly a 40 yard gain and set up Kiick's winning touchdown several plays later.

For whatever reason that play is very seldom mentioned but without it the Perfect Season likely would have dissolved into quick embarrassment. It was certainly far more significant than the Larry Seiple fake punt a week later, for example. Morrall was really struggling in that Browns game and we trailed 14-13 prior to the play. It was a dreary overcast afternoon in the Orange Bowl and the crowd had almost no energy. Our first half points came via a blocked punt. We weren't doing anything on offense. Check Morrall's passing numbers and you'll see what I mean.

It's the most memorable play for me, that's for sure. I could finally breath again. Even at that age I understood the significance of capping the 14-0 season with a championship, and how the accomplishment would endure for decades.

Do we really care about the Camarillo play? Who makes these lists?

Of those 3, fake spike.

Of all time, fake spike.

Most excited I've ever been watching a football game.

I'll just do 2 posts for the price of 1 here. I was in the stands that day too and I couldn't believe how quiet it was. EVERYONE after that game thought that season was over. You know the rest.

I can't believe Dick Anderson's INT in the 1971 AFC title game has not even been mentioned.
