Yeah because none of these guys are looking to move up from the job they have... especially with the many available options. If somebody willingly takes the HC job in Washington anything is possible and I don't think people in the game view this position as poorly as the general public on this site.

No confusion on what the job duties are

That should quell some theories.
 
Armando is still trying to stir up crap on twitter about how the new GM won't have the power to hire and fire his own head coach, someone should tell him that's usually up to the owner.
 
I love that this statement was released seconds after jasonL retweeted Coles story about the FPA telling candidates not to interview for job because of the structure.
 
When you sign the contract. Be sure to make a copy of that statement. Dawn is watching.
 
"Regardless of reporting structure, the relationship between the General Manager and Coach Philbin must be one of trust, respect, and collaboration, and this will be an area we will look closely at during the process."

So sounds like Philbin's definitely going to be safe for at least one more year.

It's all on Average Joe this year to see if he's truly better than average.

Hope so. They've definitely utilized some players like Brent Grimes excellently. He's like #2 this year in the NFL, stats-wise I think.

If this new GM can bolster up the problem areas like the O-Line that Ireland ignored, and maybe get a more serviceable running back besides Daniel Thomas, I think the offense will really start to get the balance it needs to keep drives alive.
